Moon Wobble: Accidents or Spiritual Release

Five crew members have died after a lifeboat they were in fell from a cruise ship docked in the port of Santa Cruz de la Palma in the Canary Islands. The accident happened on the Majesty, operated by UK-based Thomson Cruises, during a routine safety drill. Those killed include three Indonesians, a Filipino and a Ghanaian. Three people were also hurt as the boat reportedly fell more than 20m into the sea. The MS Thomson Majesty is believed to sail under a Maltese flag. An estimated 1,400 people were on board the cruise ship when the accident occurred around 12:00 GMT on Sunday.

The horoscope for the New Moon of 10th Feb at Santa Cruz is shown above. Notice the nodal axis coincides with the meridian axis making this a potent place for accidents related to the phenomena of Moon Wobble. [The Nodal axis is also triggering the 14th Nov 2012 eclipse at 21sc57]. Three well written references describe both the physical and spiritual challenge presented by this phenomena.

Moon Wobbles were discovered in the 1930's, when research by astrologer Carl Payne Tobey (1902-1980), the original editor of Astrology Magazine, revealed that disasters occur in cycles associated with the conjunction (0°), opposition (180°) and square (90°) from the Sun to the Moon's Node. These powerful contacts occur when the Sun and the Node are in the same sign, or the opposing sign, or when the Sun is in a square aspect to the nodal axis.[1]

During Moon Wobble the instability factor is high, resulting in more accidents, fires, plane crashes, freak accidents, floods, feats of nature, bizarre weather patterns, earthquakes, tornadoes, violence, Terrorism, riots, and political and personal upheavals. These Cycles bring suppressed energies in people and Mother Nature to the surface, erupting and disrupting. [2]

This first MoonWobble of 2013 continues with the Lunar Nodal Axis of Scorpio/Taurus cycle. Our purpose as Translators and Ontologists is to transcend the three-dimensional mind, the shadowy side of problems. System, Method, Order are the Ontological bywords to approach sense testimony. MoonWobbles are potent archetypal gifts to identify experiential and existential tension. Use this jolt of joy wisely for accelerated evolution, participation in Cosmic Intention, and transcendance of the endless lunar cycle.

Thane Walker, metaphysician and astrologer, taught an ontological meditation wherein the Sun symbolizes the essential self ("figuratively speaking") and the Moon reflects an endlessly changing principle. An endlessly cycling wheel of fortune of temporal, mortal flesh, birth, fruition and decay. The Moon goes out into the lifeworld and soaks up its little taste of experience, then offers this chunk of sense testimony to the Sun for processing. The nodal axis crystallizes the relationship between Sun and Moon to reflect that sphere of life in which the coniunctio - the inner blending of the two principles - is most likely to manifest. An androgynous coitus between a changing, receptive principle and a constant, radiant principle. Remember, if you are not working through your subconscious issues you are more likely to fall prey to your emotions.

Each Moon Wobble lasts about 37 days (using a 5 degree Aspect Orb as Standard Deviation). Carefully consider decisions during this period. Like any transit, MoonWobble represents a cyclic process. There are stages of buildup, release and integration. MoonWobble is an emotional experience shared inter-subjectively into an apparently objective reality. As such, it is a communal psychological interaction. Conscious awareness and appropriate action results in a smooth transition. [3]

P.S. Technically inclined readers may like to set up the New Moon charts for two other incidents in the news (a) the hanging of Afzal Guru in Delhi (b) the accident in Kumbh Mela at Allahabad railway station where a foot bridge collapsed. Both these charts have the New Moon on the midheaven. ‘Saturn is in Decay of the North Node, indicating a fatigue with structure, hidden structure’ [3].
