Cetus swallows Florida man

Jeremy Bush just went to bed when he heard what sounded like a car hitting the house. Then screams from his brother Jeffrey's bedroom. "Help me! Help me!" Someone flipped the lights. Jeremy, 36, threw the door open, revealing a sight that defied belief: The earth had opened beneath his brother's bedroom and was swallowing everything in it. The tip of Jeffrey's mattress was the only thing left, and it was sinking into a churning sinkhole. The incident took place on Feb. 28.

The Capricorn Ingress chart for Tampa is shown below.  Conjunct the MC (25vi30) is the star Alkaid (27vi06).  Eta (η) Ursa Major, Alkaid, is a brilliant white star on the tail of the Great Bear.

The last star in the Great Bear. Benetnash (Alkaid) means 'hired mourners'. If the influence of this star is exercised, an influence of a Mars-Uranus-Saturn nature is present. Experience has shown that many human lives are to be mourned. Reinhold Ebertin made a survey of this fixed star covering centuries when associated with transits of the major planets over this degree. The results have been recorded in the 40th yearbook for Cosmobiological Research 1969. In accordance with adopted belief of ancient times, this fixed star is supposed to be bound up with the realm of the dead and is therefore associated with death and mourning. In an important position in a mundane map, Benetnash will claim human lives in calamities such as mine accidents, collapse of houses and bridges, mountain slides, earth tremors and catastrophes caused by weather. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, no.46, p.57, under the name Benetnash]

The accompanying planetary aspects add more detail [1]:

Cupido-Uranus: Sudden or unexpected events connected with a house
Hades-Uranus: to see an unexpected turn for the worse

On the date of the incident transit Mars (21pi20; -04d13) is  square  the TNP Cupido (21sa20) opposite the star Denebola (21vi49) and contraparallel Menkar (+4d08)  a star in the jaws of Cetus – the sea monster sent to devour Andromeda (see picture above).

Beta (β) Leo, Denebola, is a blue star in the tail of the Lion. The 'Tail of the Lion' has a Uranian nature and it is supposed that, in mundane horoscopes, major catastrophes are triggered off by it. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.56.

It gives….misfortune from the elements of nature. [Robson*, p.160-161.]

At her website “Constellation of Words” Anne Wright gives another meaning of cetus.

*Qet- (meaning hole in the ground for dwelling, living space or living room) in the IE protolanguage was adopted, after some mutations in the meaning, as ketos in Greek [2].

Notes:

Conjunct the MC (25vi30) is Copula  “Whirlpool Galaxy” (25vi17)  with a Black Hole at core.

At the time of the incident (11 pm; Feb. 28) Saturn (11sc26) was rising on the Ascendant (11sc) so that Mu Ceti,(12ta),  the top of the Sea Monster’s head was just setting.  For Gamma Ceti (9ta36) Ebertin "falls from high places into the abyss"[3].  The transit Moon (22li12) was opposite Baten Kaitos (22ar08). Zeta (ζ) Cetus,  In astrology it portended falls and blows. [Star Names, Their Lore and Meaning, Richard Hinckley Allen, 1889].

The TNP Cupido (21sa22) is conjunct  antiscia Pluto (21sa03): Radical events in connection with houses. Antiscia Uranus (25vi22) is conjunct the MC (25vi30) and Benatnash (27vi)
