Eclipse heals wounds of Spanish Inquisition

The Spanish Inquisition

More than 500 years ago, tens of thousands of Jews fled Spain because of persecution. Now their descendants are being invited to return. Before the infamous Spanish Inquisition of the 15th Century, some 300,000 Jews lived in Spain. It was one of the largest communities of Jews in the world. Today, there are about 40,000 or 50,000 - but that number could be about to swell dramatically.

On November 22, 2012, Spain's justice minister Alberto Ruiz-Gallardon announced a plan to give descendants of Spain's original Jewish community - known as Sephardic Jews - a fast-track to a Spanish passport and Spanish citizenship.

The solar eclipse of Nov. 25, 2011 at 2sa37 was square  Mars-Neptune on the meridian axis at Madrid and, therefore, significant for the place. The eclipse is in tropical Sagittarius – a sign that rules religion and Spain.  Mars-Neptune as a  combination  represents the aggressor  (Mars) and victim (Neptune)  so that weaving these elements together we appear to get a  good symbol for the Inquisition. Progressing the eclipse by the solar quotidian method brings the eclipse angles back to their own place on Nov 22, 2012, thereby triggering the meaning or potential of the eclipse.

Eclipses provide an opportunity to release the past and make a fresh start. The challenge of the November 2011 eclipse is about graduation to a new level of consciousness. Nick Fiorenza explains this in his article on the eclipse entitled “Responsibility for Life”[1]

The ascendant of the eclipse chart is 19sc23. Tropical Scorpio’s overlay of Beast-Victim Lupus (iota Lupi 18sc57) , punisher Centaurus (eta Centauri 20sc26)  and Libra’s karmic scales (Zubenhakrabi 20sc51) of justice bring in souls willing to champion unpopular causes; some here may victimise others or are moved by the victimisation of others. Justice, freedom, human rights are major themes under these stars.[2]

The IC of the chart is conjunct Neptune (28aq)  in sidereal Aquarius. The stars of the constellation of Aquarius overlap those of late sidereal Capricorn, which start to create the shift from the covert and personal interest of earlier Capricorn toward the expanded humanitarian interest we experience in Aquarius. This shift fully occurs under the auspices of Sadr (25aq), which lies on the cusp. The Aquarian cusp is marked by the wing of Cygnus the Swan, which extends from Sadr, the heart or breast of the Swan, to Gienah (28aq), the tip of the wing. Cygnus X-3 enters the ecliptic, along with Gienah. It  invites us to surrender our preconceptions of self and our descriptive judgments of others that uphold our isolationist way of being. Cygnus X-3 invites us to participate beyond our segregated ways based on gender, race, creed, or culture and open ourselves to new experience only available when we are willing to embrace the uniqueness of all life.[3]

With the stars pushing for a change  and acceptance of people beyond all cultural divide Spain appears to be responding well.
