US Sibly and the sequester

The sequester lawmakers have been warning about for months will soon be reality.
Congress effectively missed the deadline to avert the automatic spending cuts, originally passed into law in the summer of 2011. President Obama will officially enact the cuts by the end of the day Friday.

In this post we make an attempt to understand the present crisis in the US, being called the sequester, using the US Sibly.

The major current solar progression for  the US Sibly is Sun (8pi) square Uranus (8ge) in a forming aspect.  It is not coincidental that the Yod discussed in previous posts is here activating  radix Uranus. Readers may like to revisit these posts to see a continuity with what follows.

The progressed Sun (8pi)  is also conjunct  radix Nessus (9pi); Ceres (8pi) and opposite Toro (4vi).

NESSUS
Nessus rules bad blood. He appears in instances in which previously familiar people
become mortal enemies over physical aspects of life. Commonly, the issues are the possession elements of love, property and money. The perihelion of Nessus lies in Libra; it’s node stands firm in Taurus. Whenever issues of money, especially regarding estates, inheritances and taxes, come about, Nessus reigns. All bets are off. All is fair in love, war and the preservation of economic stability - the primary causes of conflict. The fight is dirty, underhanded and based upon the idea that someone either has or is taking away what one feels rightly belongs in her/his possession [1]

CERES: The need for nurturing; issues of "taking care of" people; mother-child relationships

URANUS: indifference; coldness

TORO:  bullying; intimidation; muscle flexing-psychologically or physically; challenging others; rough treatment

Ceres-Uranus
There could be issues about whether the government should take care  of the people or whether it should be indifferent (Uranus) to their plight. Perhaps it is also  time to make sure that "caring" includes  room for people to be individuals.

Toro-Uranus
Acting aloof, erratic or unpredictable (Uranus) when angry (Toro).  Having to be strong (Toro) to effect changes (Uranus);  incidents  when someone shows that they're a tougher customer(Toro) than the other  expected (Uranus).  A better idea: Defend the right to  make changes or to do it "your way"!  [2]

Shown above is the chart for the US Sibly solar return progressed to 1st March – the day the sequester sets in. Notice that (a) the radix solar arc aspects discussed above and  (b) solar return Venus-Jupiter-Neptune are on the angles of this chart.

Venus-Jupiter
Extravagance with finances.[2]

Jupiter-Neptune
You'll also see unrealistic  promises, and a lot of disappointment with Congress.  People who built their castles on sand are  discovering that the tide has changed (and that piddly little bump is  where their fortress used to be).[2]

Note:
The Ascendant-Descendant axis for the New Moon (Feb 10) at Washington was 6sa-6ge. Jupiter (6ge) was on the Descendant  square  Neptune (2pi)- Mars (6pi)-Mercury(7pi) emphasizing the same themes discussed above for US Sibly solar return progressed to 1st March. Progressing the New Moon chart to Mar 1, brings the IC to 13ar conjunct the star Alderamin (13ar) of Cepheus.

Alderamin, the Alpha star of Cepheus, is the right shoulder of King Cepheus, father of the Royal Family and Princess Andromeda, often portraying one in an authoritative position. Alderamin imparts a quality of authoritative responsibility. With afflicted alignments, Alderamin can expresses as denial, avoidance, or turning one's head from dealing with the manipulative power plays causing our or other people's entrapment with a flippant attitude to do anything about them.
