Rana the ‘frog star’ in New York

A man in upstate New York with a very particular phobia was recently awarded $1.6 million in damages after a developer inadvertently caused  his land to be inundated by frogs. Paul Marinaccio, 65, of Clarence, N.Y. was deluged with frogs on his property after construction at a nearby real estate project sent  the little critters hopping onto his land. In 2000, a developer began diverting water runoff towards Marinaccio’s  home, essentially turning much of his  property into a wetland.

Regular readers will be aware  (a) of examples presented in earlier posts which show that the effect of an eclipse can start well before its actual occurrence  (b) that an eclipse on angle has special influence for that place. With this background information if we now look at the upcoming May 9 solar eclipse at Clarence, NY, we  find the star Rana [21ta02] of the constellation Eridani, the celestial river, on the descendant [21ta13] and conjunct the eclipse [19ta31].

Delta Eridani (δ Eri, δ Eridani) is a 3.54 magnitude star in the constellation of Eridanus. It is also called Rana. The name Rana means "the frog" in Latin. In Chinese, 天苑 (Tiān Yuàn), meaning Celestial Meadows, refers to an asterism consisting of δ Eridani and several others.
