Solar Eclipse and the high US suicide rate

The suicide rate among middle-aged Americans rose 28% in a decade, a new report from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Altlanta Georgia has found. Among adults 35-64, white people and American Indians saw the sharpest increases from 1999 to 2010. The CDC did not investigate causes behind the trend, but noted many suicide prevention programmes were geared towards youths and the elderly. The report found no significant change among other age groups. Since 2009, suicide has claimed more Americans than motor vehicle crashes. There were 38,350 suicides in 2010, making it the nation's 10th leading cause of death, the CDC said.

The upcoming  Solar Eclipse of May 9 is significant for Atlanta since it is  placed on one of the angles, in this case  the descendant. The table below gives the stars in aspect to the eclipse Moon and Ascendant.

Nick Fiorenza writing about Rana and Botein says:

Botein, although meaning the belly (of the Ram) actually marks the hind foot. Botein can indicate those either lost and stranded, or simply left behind (the lost or following sheep), and thus can create a sense of frustration; but this is also a place of an energetic potential about to erupt. Rana of Eridanus, conjoining Botein, marks another stopping point along the river of life and articulates the theme of those lost or tired through their initiations stopping either in need of aid or for regeneration in preparation for what is yet to come.[1]

Diana Rosenberg [2] associates the  stars  Rana and Botein with “mental and/or emotional instability” and the star Deneb Kaitos, beta Cetus  with “cruelty, violence, mental or emotional instability; self-destructiveness”.   Mars, the ruler of the sixth house of public health is conjunct the stars Almach, gamma Andromeda, the foot of the chained Princess in the jaws of the sea monster- Menkar (alpha Cetus).  Cetus represents the sub conscious fears, rage and anguish of the chained Andromeda. “Cih or Tish, Gamma Cassiopeia, often snaps back to scar our own hand …. leading us  to our own demise”.[3]
