US readies to strike Syria at Hyades Last Quarter Moon

American forces are "ready" to launch strikes on Syria if President Barack Obama chooses to order an attack, US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel says. "We have moved assets in place to be able to fulfil and comply with whatever option the president wishes to take," Mr Hagel told the BBC.

Today's Last Quarter Moon [5ge15] at Damascus  aspects the meridian axis and forms a T-square with Mercury-Neptune.

Mercury/Neptune

People  can  use words... to deceive (themselves or  others)... to exaggerate their concern for victims .. to take advantage of  others... to misrepresent things. There  can be a lot of talk about plans that are  unrealistic .  Folks can also "talk" but not follow through with action  (because they're impractical, indecisive or passive.)    This is a time to remember that what people  say may not be true... or may be misunderstood.  This is a time to  clarify, check the details, and look for omissions!  [1]

The Last Quarter Moon also  conjoins Syria’s [1 Jan 1944; 0:00 EET]  Mars/Uranus [5ge] and the star Prima Hyadum [6ge] of Hyades*. Diana Rosenberg links Hyades to invasions. In ancient China, the Pleaides/Hyades area was “The Announcer of the Invasion at the Border”

Finally, Venus [13li] is transiting conjunct Syria’s Ascendant [12li] and the US Sibly’s Saturn [14li]. All of these are conjunct the star Algorab  of Corvus the Raven. The influence of this star is described as follows:

Of the nature of Mars and Saturn. It gives destructiveness, malevolence, fiendishness, repulsiveness and lying, and is connected with scavenging. [Robson*].

A Mars-Saturn star that can show up the more troublesome side of Libra, a variation on the truth when an excuse looks to be safer. [The Living Stars, Dr. Eric Morse, p.175.]

Delays and restraint are indicated to come about by fiascoes, losses, wrong handling of matters and enmity in general. Accidents or injuries difficult to avoid. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.60.]

*"The Hyades are a stormy star group and was regarded as a separate constellation. Those born at this time take no pleasure in tranquillity and set no store by a life of inaction; rather they yearn for crowds and mobs and civil disorders. Sedition and uproar delight them; they long for the Gracchi to harangue from the platform, for a secession to the Sacred Mount, leaving but a handful of citizens at Rome; they welcome fights which break the peace and provide sustenance for fears. They herd their foul droves over untilled countryside, for this constellation also begot Ulysses' trusty swineherd (Eumaeus, or Eumaios, was Odysseus' swineherd ). Such are the qualities engendered by the Hyades at the rising of their stars". [Astronomica, Manilius, 1st century AD, book 5, p.308-311].
