April eclipse highlights issues of ethics for the IOA

The Indian Olympic Association is the body responsible for selecting athletes to represent India at the Olympic Games, Asian Games and other international athletic meets and for managing the Indian teams at the events.  In a big setback for Indian athletes, the International Olympic Committee or IOC has decided (5th September 2013)  that India will remain suspended from the international Olympic movement. Till this ban, imposed in December last year, is revoked, Indian athletes will not be able to compete under the tricolour in any Olympic-approved event. And if they win gold, the national anthem will not be played.  The IOC is clear that it will only revoke the ban when the India Olympic Association ensures that it has no office-bearer who faces charges in a criminal or corruption case and amends its constitution to ensure such people cannot contest its elections.

As  regular readers are by now aware, eclipses can lie quiet for a long time till they are triggered by transits or progressions. Shown above is the 26 April 2013, lunar eclipse at Delhi. Notice that (a) it is powerfully placed since Mars-Saturn-Poseidon straddling the eclipse axis are placed square the horizon axis (b) it is currently triggered with transit Mars [5le] squaring the eclipse axis (c) progressing the eclipse to 5 September aligns it with the meridian axis

The association of Mars with sports is well known from a study by the Gauquelins. Together with Saturn it gives the discipline required to produce sports champions. Cupido [1,2] , the TNP associated with groups and committees, forms hard aspects to both ends of the eclipse and to Mars and Saturn so that a sports association is implied. On its own a Mars-Saturn creates conflicts and disagreements with Saturn trying to discipline a wayward Mars but with Saturn conjunct the TNP Poseidon [1,2] (ruling ethics and morality) the conflict is over just that! Since eclipse is about a need to change our ways, the message to IOA should be clear.
