Astrology of the Pakistan earthquake

The quake struck at 4:29 pm local time (1129 GMT)  on 24 Sept. around 100 kilometres (60 miles) southwest of the city of Khuzdar in Balochistan province, at a depth of 15 kilometres.  The US Geological Survey originally gave the earthquake a 7.4 strength at 29 kilometres but later revised their figure. Pakistan's meteorological office gave the magnitude as 7.7.

“Earthquakes are often found to be associated with eclipses. An eclipse is always liable to cause seismic disturbances where it is visible, especially if it falls very close to the line of the horizon, i.e. the cusps of the first and seventh houses or of the meridian, i.e. the cusps of the tenth and fourth houses. In addition to this, certain of the zodiacal signs are more closely associated with earthquakes than are others. The four fixed signs are very important in this respect; and of these Taurus and Scorpio are more often related  to great shocks of earthquakes than are other signs, when eclipses or important conjunctions occur therein, or when oppositions or squares are thrown to major planets therein”. H.S. Green

The upcoming solar eclipse of 3 Nov 2013 is placed in Scorpio conjunct Saturn and exactly on the descendant (7th cusp) fulfilling all the conditions laid down by H.S. Green in his book “Mundane or National Astrology”. It is well known in astrology that eclipses can be  triggered by transits  or  moon phases before their actual occurrence. Yesterday, 23 September 2013 , the Waning Gibbous Moon (15ta) fell on the Ascendant (13ta) opposite Saturn and the eclipse  activating it before its time.

The horoscope for the exact time of the earthquake (which should be treated as the “second hand of the clock”) has Neptune square the meridian axis with the Moon at the IC. In classical mythology, Neptune was called the earthshaker, in his capacity as bringer of  earthquakes.[1]

P.S.
In a previous post [2] on the 22 September,  suicide bomb attack by Taliban militants  targeting  a church in Peshawar we had used Pluto station in the solar return of the Pakistan’s national chart  to explain the event . Readers will see that the following extract from the post  about the Uranus-Pluto archetype  is  almost prescient and connects the two incidents – the earthquake and the  violence – through  Carl Jung’s synchronicity. Synchronistic events reveal an underlying pattern, a conceptual framework that encompasses, but is larger than, any of the systems that display the synchronicity.

The Uranus-Pluto archetype manifests as the unleashing of the  primal and elemental forces in various senses . In  nature  it can show up as  volcanoes, earthquakes,  hurricanes, tsunamis while in man  the same forces can erupt as unpredictable violence as the suppressed animal breaks free. This can result in racial and religious intolerance leading to brutality and massacres
