Donations of more than $110,000 (£67,000) have poured in from across the US for a Boston homeless man who returned a lost bag with $42,000 in it. Glen James alerted police after he found the backpack containing cash and traveller's cheques last weekend, and the bag's owner was then tracked down. After reading about Mr James's good deed Ethan Whittington, started a donation page on Monday afternoon.

The accounts manager had initially intended to raise $50,000 but that goal was achieved within a day of the site going live.  As more people heard of Mr James's story, more money rolled in, with a further $15,000 being raised in just a few hours on Wednesday. http://dailym.ai/1dryvFb

News item No.2  from La Coruna, Spain

This story of honesty is almost too incredible to believe. This week, a man in Spain found a winning lottery ticket sold in June 2012 but he decided not to claim the prize for himself. Euronews reports that in the Spanish coastal city of La Coruna, Manuel Reija Gonzalez, a lottery ticket seller, was cleaning out a lost property box when he came across an old ticket. Gonzalez ran the ticket through the system and found out it had an unclaimed prize of $6.27 million, according to the Spanish daily La Voz de Galicia. Gonzalez immediately turned the ticket in to local authorities in hopes of finding the actual winner. Fortunately though, there's still a chance that Gonzalez will be rewarded for his honesty. If the prize remains unclaimed after two years, all the winnings will go to him. http://huff.to/15e13N8

In this post we will attempt to see how two unconnected news stories of incredible honesty  and good luck that took place early this week are connected by the stars. For this we present  the  charts of the Waxing Gibbous Moon phase (16 Sep.) for Boston and La Coruna. As regular readers are aware a Moon phase is significant for a place if it falls on the angles (meridian or horizon axis). In Boston, the Gibbous Moon fell on the MC while in La Coruna it fell on the descendant so that it was likely to discharge its potential in these places. To understand what that potential is we take a look at the stars that form the backdrop to the planets.

Argo Navis – the celestial ship of the spirit

In the first case the Moon on the MC is opposite Mars [12le] and the IC [11le]. In the second case the Moon on the descendant is opposite Mars. In each case Mars is conjunct the stars Gianfar [10le] of Draco the greedy dragon and Rho Puppis [11le34] of Argo Navis [1], the Celestial ship, said to “give strength of mind and spirit”.

 In this area spiritual and material impulses vie for the souls of men  so that there can be high ethical standards, honesty to themselves and others versus expediency, profiteering and greed. Here heaven’s great ship Argo Navis can help to voyage away from dark shorelines into the bright cleansing light of the Sun [2].

Finally we find Neptune [3pi26] is active in both cases. In the first case it is square the Ascendant and in the second case it is semi-square the MC.  Neptune is conjunct the star Alpha (α) Aquarius, Sadalmelik, [3pi56]  a third magnitude pale yellow star on the right shoulder of the Water-pourer, 1° south of the celestial equator. Robson includes this star in the 23rd manzil, or Arabic Lunar Mansion Al Sa'd al Ahbiyah, The Lucky Star of Hidden Things or Hiding Places [3]. In horary it indicates the ability to discover that which is hidden or lost.
