Castor-Pollux join Asia to Europe

A railway tunnel underneath the Bosphorus Strait is due to open in Turkey, creating a new link between the Asian and European shores of Istanbul. The tunnel is the world's first connecting two continents, and is designed to withstand earthquakes. It is being opened on the 90th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has for years championed the undersea engineering project, first conceived by an Ottoman sultan in 1860.

The underwater section runs for 0.8 miles (1.4 km), but in total the tunnel is 8.5 miles (13.6 km) long. It is scheduled to be inaugurated at 13:00 GMT. Japan invested $1bn of the $4bn (£3.4bn) total cost of the project, named Marmaray, which is a conflation of the nearby Sea of Marmara with "ray", the Turkish word for rail.

“In mid-August, Jupiter and Uranus, the dynamic duo renowned for scientific discovery and technical innovation, begin an alignment that lasts until April 2014. Add to that mix a third “dwarf” planet, Pluto, and you have an alignment that has only occurred three times last century, in 1903–04, 1930–31 and 1934.

Throughout history, different alignments of futuristic Jupiter and innovative Uranus have coincided with pivotal scientific and technical breakthroughs. Cosmobiologist Reinhold Ebertin describes the combination of Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto as “an unusual striving for knowledge and understanding, a strong awareness of purpose or of objective in life, a far-seeing creative activity”. Shown above is the  Sidereal Libra Ingress chart for Istanbul.  As the above reference indicates in August Jupiter had formed a T-square with Uranus-Pluto. In the diagram above while Jupiter is separating from the square the transiting Moon brings them all together through a phenomena known as the “translation of light” in astrology.

Translation of Light

Translation of light is where a planet separates from one significator - by conjunction or aspect - and immediately applies to another (whilst still within orb of the planet it is separating from). It carries the influence of the former to the latter and thereby creates a connection between them. [2]

But here is where it gets really interesting. In the Libra Ingress chart  Jupiter [19cn51] on the MC [22cn01] is conjunct the  star Wasat [18cn42].  Delta (δ) Gemini, Wasat, is a double star, pale white and purple that joins the twins together. In other words, it serves as a connecting link much like the underwater tunnel that will serve as a link between Asia and Europe.

Conjoining Castor is Wasat of Gemini. Wasat, the umbilical cord, embodies the essence of sidereal Gemini. Wasat is the link and liaison that unites and acts as a catalyst. Wasat brings the logistical pieces together. Wasat is of planning, coordination, assemblage of diversity into a workable functional model; the mechanics of creating the means in physical logistics. Castor / Wasat is the engineer, the technician, the artist, the constructor, and coordinator (whereas opposite Sagittarius is the architect, inspirationalist, and vision holder). [3] [4]
