Eclipse removes obstacles to humanitarian aid in Syria

Water flows past a dammed ‘river of life’

Deliveries of wheat are starting to reach Syrian ports as its bank accounts abroad are gradually being freed from sanctions, with grain traders detecting a greater willingness from European governments to allow deals to go ahead on humanitarian grounds. As civil war grinds on, Syria is facing its worst wheat harvest in three decades. President Bashar al-Assad, who has already escaped air strikes as punishment for chemical weapons attacks, will now be able to bolster depleted food supplies.

Writing about the 19 October lunar eclipse in the previous post we had said:

The Moon [25ar45] is conjunct 22 Andromedae [24ar37] a star in the chained right hand of the woman – a perfect symbol for slavery. The Sun, on the other hand, is conjunct Arcturus, [24li24] alpha Bootes often shown as a protector or a herdsman and Spica, alpha Virgo [24li] the innocent Virgin he protects.

But the eclipse moon is also conjunct a couple of other stars.  Moon[25ar45]  is conjunct Acamar, Theta 1,2 of ERIDANUS [23ar27] and Al Pherg, eta Pisces [27ar01] .  Acamar is a dam on the Eridanus, the river of life [1]. The two stars together reveal a need to breakthrough whatever is stopping the flow of the river of life.

The chained woman and the dammed river symbolically reveal much the same thing – confinement or stagnation in some sense. Meanwhile the star Arcturus of Bootes reveals a protector or in another sense a  provider of humanitarian aid.

If now we look at the eclipse chart at Damascus we notice a Mars-Neptune opposition placed exactly on the horizon axis – one of the two important axes that provide specific meaning to any chart, the other being the meridian. Not only does this combination stand for humanitarian (Neptune) action (Mars) but the star Enif [2pi04] which is conjunct Neptune [2pi46] is described by Nick Fiorenza thus [2]:

Enif of Pegasus, the nose of the magical flying horse, brings intuitiveness and sensitivity to the humanitarian / Aquarian pursuit. Enif is characteristic of altruistic people, those with the intuitive awareness to recognize what is of essence, of value, and worthy of humanitarian support. It is of those who are capable of providing material and financial support and who have the sensitivity to do so. A fortuitous star, Enif asks us to follow our intuition to do what is truly supportive to our greater wellbeing and to those around us.
