Eclipse changes China’s one child policy

China is to relax its policy of restricting most couples to having only a single child, state media say. In future, families will be allowed two children if one parent is an only child, the Xinhua news agency said. The proposal follows this week's meeting of a key decision-making body of the governing Communist Party.

A chart for the solar eclipse of 3 Nov. drawn for Beijing  has  Kronos- Uranus-Pluto square aspecting the horizon axis so that these reforms do not come as a surprise. Kronos is a TNP that is associated with laws while Uranus-Pluto is about reform.  In addition, the eclipse was placed in the mundane 5th house of children [1] and  conjunct stars of  the Scales of Justice thereby emphasizing  a need for balance and equilibrium for forces that had gone too far in one direction. (Recall that in the previous post we saw how the same eclipse had altered Sweden’s views on prisoners i.e. helped the country lower its prison population  by  rehabilitating prisoners and perhaps taking a less severe view of  punishment for various offences).

Finally, as we have seen in previous posts, stars  and planets on the angles add details that would  have been otherwise missed.  The Ascendant, Kronos and Jupiter in tropical Cancer – the sign associated with families – is already hinting that some of these reforms are about what constitutes a family. With  the Ascendant [11cn] and Jupiter [20cn]  also conjunct the stars of the Twins we know exactly why in future Chinese families will be allowed two children!
