Iran nuclear talks at First Quarter Moon

The talks in Geneva to broker a deal with Iran to abandon its nuclear weapons program have ground to a halt without agreement. But a secret meeting of Iranian, Israeli and Chinese military generals in a chateau in France promises to find a means to solve the remaining issues.

Private talks at the Chateau de Selore, hosted by Jean-Christophe Iseux von Pfetten, a French aristocrat who serves as an adviser to China’s Central Committee, have opened an important back-channel for the exchange of ideas and an avenue for compromises between the various actors.

Shown here is the chart for the First Quarter Moon at Paris. Notice the Moon in a prominent position at the IC. The Moon in tropical Aquarius is conjunct Sualocin, alpha Delphinus. Here are found individuals impatient for change and reform, daring to challenge old beliefs and win or lose, pave the way for mankind’s slow climb upward. The Dolphin brings in an idealistic influence and many helpful pacifists are found here.

Conjunct the Sun  are the stars of the Balance  that divide the  sky and humankind as well. This is an area of attempts to dominate and resistance to domination, of extraordinary inspiring courage and craven malevolence, idealism and cynicism; in short of contradictory impulses and choices that determine and define life paths and the working through of karma.  Symbolically, as the anti-thesis of the knight, the Centaur (also present here) is dominated by animal instincts which may overcome virtue, judgement and higher nature; the Scales bring in a struggle for balance. In some there is a tendency to harden the heart, to be adamant, sneering, unforgiving, crafty, vindictive and malevolent. They may go all out and burn their bridges where the more advanced human beings will build new ones. They will choose to communicate and assist while the less developed will close up, close off and refuse interaction. Here are stars of China’s ancient Great Azure Dragon who sprang from the earth bringing renewal, new life and hope. Therefore, a choice must be made here: whether to wallow in hatred and resentment or to reach for a high level of love and service, working to establish and maintain peace and justice.

As positive examples there are several cases of planetary placements here :  at the UN’s first International Day of Peace in 1982, Pope John Paul II’s World Day of Prayer for Peace in 1986; at the signing of an Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty in 1979; at the Israel-PLO Peace Accord signed in Washington in 1993; in April 1896 when the ancient Greek Olympics, sacred athletic festivals that mandated peace and free travel across borders during the games were revived and several others. The First Quarter Moon was termed by Dane Rudhyar as representing a stage of a “crisis in action” as one attempts to implement the message  of the New Moon. The Sabian symbol of Saturn [13sc53] that was conjunct the New Moon [11sc16]  was:
