Today India got a boost: Jan. 13 marks
the country’s third year of being free of polio, the highly infectious disease
that attacks the nervous system of children in particular and can paralyze
within hours. Spinal polio is the most common form, characterized by asymmetric
paralysis that most often involves the legs. The last child to be crippled by
polio in India was a
2-year-old girl in West Bengal , whose case was
confirmed on Jan. 13, 2011. The fact that none have been found since is a
stunning turnaround from 2009, when India hosted nearly half the
world’s cases. The World Health Organisation is set to declare India polio
free very soon.
Generally,
eclipse lunar cycles mark a time of shifting into a new octave of experience.
They offer a time to resynchronize our selves with the ever-changing cosmic
currents supporting our evolutionary progression in consciousness. Eclipses
tend to bring about endings and new beginnings. How dramatic these
changes can be is a function of star alignments and other aspecting planets
occurring at the time of the eclipse. In the chart for the Full Moon Lunar
Eclipse of 26 April 2013 notice the luminaries along with Mars-Saturn (bone
problems) squaring the horizon axis making this eclipse significant for Delhi . The Moon rules the sixth house of "public health". On the Ascendant
[7aq37] are the stars of Aquila which formed
part of the nakshatra Sravana – the one
who limps – that Diana Rosenberg associates with lameness. In addition, the
eclipse Moon and Saturn are conjunct the Running
Chicken Nebula, IC 2944 [4sc52] on the hind hoof of the Centaur and Khambalia, lambda Virginis, left foot
[7sc08] again referring to lameness and
foot problems. Progressing the eclipse chart by the solar quotidian method
aligns the progressed horizon axis with the eclipse axis bringing about an
ending to a problem that has long troubled India .
If the hour
hand of the clock was the eclipse, the minute hand its progression then second hand is the chart
for the Waxing Gibbous Moon on 12th Jan 2014. Notice that the
meridian axis aligns with the eclipse axis and therefore refers to the same
stars. On the Ascendant [22cp] is delta Aquila ,
the Eagle’s south claw and once again connected to Sravana – the one who limps!
