Washington (CNN) -- Five years after the financial
crisis, the debate over whether some of the biggest banks in America are
"too big to jail" is causing tensions among prosecutors and
regulators. As federal prosecutors in Manhattan
finalized their investigation of JPMorgan Chase & Co. for failing to blow
the whistle on Ponzi-schemer Bernard Madoff, the question arose: What happens
if federal prosecutors file criminal charges against the bank? They fear that
if regulators moved to pull the bank's license, it could lead to destruction of
the nation's largest bank and potentially the loss of hundreds of thousands of
jobs. OCC officials said they could provide no such assurance, the people
familiar with the discussions said.
On January
1 the Sun and Moon conjoin Pluto and form hard aspects to four others. This
very potent New Moon straddles the meridian axis at Washington . Pluto brings power struggles and a need for purges and
purification. It is asking us to clean
up old business, especially the messy parts that we’d rather not face, before
moving ahead. Uranus square the Capricorn New Moon and Pluto signals the need
to bring down an old order that no longer serves the people.
If now we
combine this with the Sibly Solar Return and progress the angles to 9th
Jan, the date of the news, the reason
for the hesitation by the federal prosecutors becomes clear. The Sibly Sun
forms hard aspects to Uranus-Pluto-Kronos-Hades all of which have been brought
to the angles and therefore triggered. But more interesting is the Sun’s [13cn]
conjunction to the asteroids Sphinx
[11cn] and Atlantis [14cn] and
opposition to Pluto [10cp].
ATLANTIS: Belief in deserved punishment or a need
for punitive measures. Sense of impending doom.
SPHINX: Questions, lack of answers and
understanding (about points in axis or aspect.)
PLUTO : Banks (as they deal with other people’s
money); financial matters; investments
Pluto-Hades: To hear of criminal activities in the
world of finance or big business
Kronos-Hades: Leaders, executives or experts discuss the
past or investigations; to be aware of laws that relate to criminals or
criminal procedures
There is a
need for punitive measures (Atlantis) against the banks (Pluto) but how do you do it
(Sphinx) without bringing the whole structure down.
