Ophiuchus struggles with Serpent at Full Moon

Diving partners David Malvestuto Warren Murray were about 80-feet below the surface of Bluefish Cove in Carmel, California, when this eight-legged freak (octopus) emerged ready to tussle. It grabbed hold of the gear, but once Murray started snapping pics the flash freaked out the aggressive cephalopod and it swam away. Feb. 14 [1]

As in the previous post where a Chinese man narrowly escapes from a tiger we have another case of an animal attack at the Full Moon. Here is the chart for the Full Moon at Carmel which was square Saturn. Although the Full Moon is not directly aspecting the angles, Saturn is sharply quincunx the MC. We must remember that it is always the angles of a chart that so to speak “siphon” the energy in a planetary aspect and create events at any place.

The MC [22ar58] is conjunct dim stars of Cetus, the sea monster. While Saturn [23sc06] is conjunct the stars Unukalhai, alpha Serpentis [22sc14]. Men, alpha Lupi, the Wild Beast [23sc40] and Agena, beta Centauri, [23sc58] so that Diana Rosenberg lists this area as a place of animal attacks and gives the following examples.

Pluto was here when a great white shark attacked a diver and severed his right arm near Antartica in 1992; the North Node when a black bear attacked and attempted to eat a man in British Columbia, 1994, the South Node when a canoeing camper was attacked and nearly eaten by a crocodile in Kakadu National Park, Australia. This was the radix Sun of venomous snake expert J B Slowinski, killed at 38 by the bite of a krait.

All events have a symbolic meaning and here we attempt to understand that meaning. The Centaur, as a man-beast symbolizes a conflict between man’s animal nature and higher human virtue and judgement, the unconscious instinct struggling with the spirit. This is also depicted as the healer Ophiuchus struggling with the Serpent whose alpha star Unukalhai [22sc14] is  here. The great Serpent of physician/Shaman Ophiuchus offers a powerful ability for self-renewal (because serpents shed their skins and grow new ones) should we choose to reach for it [4]. There is often the challenge of self-healing and/or bearing up under chronic ailments. So it is not all surprising that we have:

 (a) news [2] of the opening of a Ayurvedic healing center in Dehradun India under the same stars with Saturn in the 10th house close to MC and the Moon in a sharp quincunx to the Ascendant.

(b) report  [3] from London in the scientific journal Nature of a breakthrough in regenerative biology. Here the Full Moon is on the meridian axis with Saturn square it.

(c) A mishap on Feb. 26 an  Indian Navy submarine killed two officers. Initial indications are that toxic smoke (Serpens …poison) from malfunctioning  batteries which should have been replaced during last refit (Serpens …and need to renew …shed its skin) could be the reason for smoke engulfing the submarine. At the time of the accident (around 6 am) Saturn [23sc] conjunct Unukalhai, alpha Serpens was on the MC.

(d) Even in the Bible Belt, coroners don't use the word "miracle" lightly. But Holmes County, Mississippi, Coroner Dexter Howard has no qualms using the word for the resurrection, as it were, of Walter Williams, who was declared dead Wednesday night (Feb.26).

The Full Moon chart for Lexington,Mississippi has the luminaries on the horizon axis and Saturn [23sc] on the IC. Saturn is conjunct  stars of the wild beast Lupus (also called the “beast of death”) and the regenerative Serpent linked here to  the miracle of resurrection!

In summary, the stars here are talking about a crisis. Either we regenerate ourselves or simply die if we cannot handle the animal that is released here.
