On why Eclipse Saros 16 N affects Indian Elections

In this post we outline a new method for using eclipses to understand the cosmic energies at work on a particularly important historical date. The steps of the method are as follows:

Consider the solar eclipses that occurred within a year  before  the date in question.
Progress each of these figures by either the solar quotidian method or the PSSR method to the date of interest. Look to see if  the angles of any progressed chart touch planets in the eclipse chart. Mark that  eclipse as important and find its Saros Number. Locate the First Eclipse of that Saros  Series in Appendix 6 of Bernadette Brady’s book “The Eagle and the Lark”. Either take her interpretation for that Saros series or arrive at your own from the chart of the First Eclipse.

As an example we will now apply this method to understand the cosmic energies at work in Delhi on May 16, 2014 – the date of the election results in India. The Solar Hybrid eclipse of 3 November 2013 was chosen since progressing it by the PSSR method brought the Uranus-Pluto square sharply to the meridian axis on this date. The second eclipse of April 29, 2014  did not satisfy the condition mentioned above and was therefore neglected.

The 3 November eclipse belonged to the Saros Series 16 North. The First Eclipse of that series fell on February 25, 1599 at 1:50:18 UT. A chart for that eclipse at Delhi is shown here. Bernadette Brady’s interpretation for the eclipse is

Aspects: Uranus forms a trine to Neptune and Venus is on the midpoint of the New Moon/Mercury.
Uranus trine Neptune
Venus = New Moon/Mercury

A gentle family of eclipses which brings a sense of inspiration or the illumination of ideas. The presence of the Uranus-Neptune combination talks of the sudden release of material from the unconscious which brings with it a great deal of insight. These ideas are good and the individual would be wise to act upon them.

What follows is my interpretation.  The table below gives aspects to fixed stars. The eclipse Sun and Moon are opposite the fixed stars Al Suhail, lambda Vela (Argo)  and  Zosma.

Zosma, in the tail of the Lion, is part of a triangle of stars that form the hind of the Lion.. This area of late Leo can be of foul breezes and smoke screens. It is also of those behind the scenes, of political religious figures manipulating the affairs of the world for personal motive while offering salvation from the human struggle. Al Suhail,in the sail of the Argo, is of evolutionary currents that are transcendent to the diversionary spectacle above. These stars create a diverse polarity of energy that set Leo’s “back stage.” This is a windy and fiery area of the zodiak, one that can stimulate dynamic creative expression, but one that can also be filled with diversionary commotion and grand spectacle. Thus discernment from a place in inner emotional and physical clarity is required to attune to the transcendent soul-level currents guiding our lives rather than defining our course based upon the diversionary and dramatic winds swirling about.

And since Uranus and Neptune are particularly important in this figure for reasons given by Brady but also because the secondary progressed Sun [24ar21] is now conjunct Uranus [24ar23] trine Neptune [24le05], it becomes necessary to look at the stars that form the backdrop to Uranus and Neptune.

Neptune is conjunct the royal star Regulus along with Phecda and Megrez. Nick Fiorenza’s interpretation of these stars when read with his previous delineation of Zosma and Suhail tell us exactly the nature of the cosmic energies active on election result day.

North of the Lion lies Ursa Major which extends west over sidereal Cancer as well as east through Leo and just into the cusp of sidereal Virgo. The variety of the Bear's stellar qualities fall into the ecliptic throughout these two signs, Cancer and Leo. The Stars of the Great Bear are associated with the global scene and world powers and of where we place our allegiance. The over-seeing stars of Ursa Major west of Regulus (Early Leo and Cancer) are those of the integrous side of the Bear--that which is oriented toward a Greater Vision: to be a caring and nurturing force for ourselves and for the peoples of the Earth, and they also imply this responsibility. Those to the east, which lie over the later “hind of the Lion” toward Benatnasch, the tail of the Bear, at the Leo-Virgo cusp, are of those focused in controlling and perpetuating the suppression of people through manipulation--indeed the Bear is torn.

Megrez and Phecda mark this transition point. Megrez invites us to look at things from a different or askew perspective so we may see what is otherwise obscured from our current position and perspective. Megrez invites us to gain a more embracing perspective as to where we ally our energies, with whom we have allegiance and participate with; and to reconsider our allegiances, our paths and approaches in life. Phecda provides support to due so, and it is this Megrez -Phecda line, almost parallel to the Regulus ecliptical meridian (vertical integrity to self), that asks for a decision.

Uranus is conjunct Mirach and Alrisha about which Nick Fiorenza writes:

With Alrisha and Mirach (conjoining Uranus)  we have indication of the opportunity to release bonds, pursuits, or involvements that perpetuate antiquated roles we play with each other. At the same time, it provides an opening so we can make greater commitments and strengthen the bonds that allow us to step forth into a new era of life expression.

In simple terms, a Uranus trine Neptune is about social changes (Uranus) based on idealism (Neptune). From the analysis presented here it appears that the cosmic energies at work on May 16, 2014 are very encouraging so that one can hope that the election result will reflect these positive changes.
