Is
it a bird? Is it a dinosaur? Or something in between? The feathered limbs of
Archaeopteryx have fascinated palaeontologists ever since Charles Darwin's day.
Now these precious fossils are going under the glare of a giant X-ray machine -
to find out what lies buried beneath the surface. Using a new "camera
obscura" technique - inspired by Leonardo da Vinci - scientists have
captured some of the clearest ever images of Archaeopteryx. For the first time,
they can see the complete skeleton in 3D. Not just the surface outlines, but
all the hidden bones and feathers too. They hope to discover how "the
first true birds" evolved from feathered dinosaurs and took flight. The
new tests are taking place at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility
(ESRF) in Grenoble ,
at the foot of the French Alps.
In
the past, large fossil slabs were too bulky to be scanned in a synchrotron
light source - a type of particle accelerator which generates high-energy
X-rays. But now scientists here are experimenting with a clever new trick,
inspired by a very ancient and simple idea - the pinhole camera. BBC; May 22
The solar eclipse [8ta52]
of April 29, was placed in the mundane 12th house at Grenoble , France .
This house rules things that are hidden or secret.. And some of that secret can be hidden in the “mists
of time”. With the stars of Cetus, the monster and Eridanus, the “river of time” here, Diana
Rosenberg associates this area with “dinosaur
events” and supports it with the
following events that took place under transits to these stars.
In 1822, when Mary Mantell discovered some of the
first (aquatic) dinosaur bones in Sussex ; in 1992 when the FBI seized
tyrannosaur bones in an ownership dispute and in 1996 when the NY museum opened
a new Hall of Dinosaurs etc.
Diana
Rosenberg links the stars on the MC [14aq] to the study of several sciences
including paleontology [2] - the scientific study of prehistoric life . This includes the study of fossils to
determine organisms' evolution and interactions with each other and their
environments .
Finally,
progressing the chart by the solar quotidian method, brings the MC to the
conjunction with Neptune [7pi08] on May 22, the date of the news item. Once
again, Diana Rosenberg links this area with “fossil and archaeological discoveries”
Can all
this really be a coincidence and what does it say about our discoveries…can they
take place without the stars “allowing” them? And we are not finished as yet. Notice that
the eclipse with Mercury is square the MC and opposite the TNP Poseidon. Mars
[11li] is trine the MC [13aq]. Regular readers will know that aspects to angles
are of crucial importance as they add very specific details. Mars is conjunct the stars of in the Crow’s
wing and China ’s Great Red Bird. Finally, among
other things, Martha Wescott associates the TNP Poseidon with light and x-rays so that
the details fall perfectly into place!
