Compassion is best learned as a skill

La Crosse, Wis. June 3,2014:The neuroscientist whose research inspired the La Crosse Compassion Project visited the city on Monday to headline the “La Crosse Compassion Project Live!” event.

“It turns out when we express compassion, we actually recruit circuits in the brain that we know to be involved in the positive emotions and happiness,” Davidson told News 8 after he saw the students’ artwork at the Pump House. “Empirically we know that that when children are generous to other children and are compassionate to other children, those are the single most important things that we can do to increase a child’s level of happiness or well-being.”  http://bit.ly/1hbgJMw

Continuing with several posts that gave examples of  activation of the Water Grand Trine in the  current Cancer Ingress chart, here too we will use that chart to show how  the element of Water is being activated in a metaphorical sense.  As most of us know, in astrology Water is associated with compassion and empathy.

Here is the chart for the sidereal Cancer Ingress at La Crosse, Wisconsin. Notice that the Water Grand Trine is anchored to the Ascendant and therefore significant for the place. Progressing the chart to June 3, the date of the news, aligns the horizon axis once again with the Grand Trine, triggering it on that day!

When we compare this post with the earlier one about the accident on the River Beas [1] where people were swept away by a torrent in the river does it tell us something? To me it is saying that unless as human beings we learn compassion for others we are likely to be drowned by the “physical” element water !!
