Discovery of a White Dwarf ‘Diamond’ Star

A team of astronomers has identified possibly the coldest, faintest white dwarf star ever detected. This ancient stellar remnant is so cool that its carbon has crystallized, forming -- in effect -- an Earth-size diamond in space.

“It’s a really remarkable object,” said David Kaplan, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. “These things should be out there, but because they are so dim they are very hard to find.” National Radio Astronomy Observatory; June 23[1]

Eclipses are of special significance in mundane astrology. They are known to effect events long after they are over. Events are known to occur when the progressed angles touch important configurations in the eclipse chart.

Shown here is the chart for the April 29, 2014 solar eclipse at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Notice the Grand Cross placed very significantly on the horizon axis.

In the Grand Cross, Mars [11li42] is among the stars of the Virgin’s wing, the Crow’s wing and China’s Great Red Bird. These stars combine with the tropical Libra’s element of air and the Virgin’s realm of  discerning intellect to bring forth gifted explorers of nature. Events having to do with light, sight and sky such as astronomy and space  take place under these stars. [2]

This was Sun and Jupiter  in 1957 when the USSR launched the Sputnik, the first artificial Earth satellite and the Moon at the moment the first human set foot on it in 1969. Even those who do not fly are drawn to the sky and light: there are chart elements here of the 17th century experimental physicist Robert Hooke, the first to build a reflecting Gregorian telescope; 17th – 18th century mathematician astronomer Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, builder of yantras, massive stone instruments for analysing the heavens; 19th century industrialist/ manufacturer  of optical instruments Carl Zeiss etc. [2]

The next important thing to note is that  Mars is one of the arms of the Uranus-Pluto-Jupiter-Mars Grand Cross. In this Cross, the Uranus-Pluto square is associated with scientific breakthroughs and when we combine that with the fact that Mars is in an area associated with the sky and astronomy, among other things, it is not too difficult to see why the breakthrough has taken place in astronomy.

As expected when we progress the eclipse chart to June 23, the date of the news, the Grand Cross aligns exactly with the horizon axis triggering the event.

One last point to note is that the eclipse (which aspects the Grand Cross through  a quincunx to Mars) was in tropical Taurus – a sign that is normally associated with diamonds [3]!
