Eclipse signals end of US dependence on “King Coal”

The Obama administration has proposed strong new rules targeting coal-burning power plants in an effort to curb global warming. The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Power Plan seeks to cut carbon emissions by 30% by 2030. The 645-page rule is a centrepiece of President Barack Obama's plans to leverage similar commitments from polluting nations like China and India. BBC, June 2

In the previous post on the abdication of King Juan Carlos we spoke about how the April 29 eclipse conjunct the stars of Cassiopeia contributed to his end. Therein we quoted Elsbeth Ebertin

Should good living transgress reasonable limits the results will be disadvantageous. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.20.]

If we can expand our understanding of this constellation  with the following extract from the Roman astrologer Manilus, we will begin to see how the dark side of the constellation Cassiopeia has a wider implication and also applies to our frantic digging for coal (the “black gold”) that powers our modern civilisation’s greed for good living that has now transgressed reasonable limits.

And that material for such employment should not be lacking, she bids men look for “gold” beneath the ground, uproot all which nature stealthily conceals, and turn earth upside down in search of gain; she bids them detect the treasure in lumps of ore and finally, for all its reluctance, expose it to a sky it has never seen. [Astronomica, Manilius, 1st century AD, p.343.]

So just as the Uranus-Pluto Grand Cross ended the Spanish King’s reign, here too the same Cross is ending the US dependence on “King Coal”. How can we say that? Well if we just progress the eclipse chart for Washington to June 2, the Grand Cross aligns with the horizon axis triggering it on that day. Not to be overlooked is the quincunx aspect from the eclipse to Mars on the descendant which let us recall has just begun to move in forward motion signalling a phase that is characterized by decisive acts that reflect the lessons learnt from the Grand Cross – the need to adjust to the ending of an old order.
