Bengal Chief Minister implicated in Ponzi Scam

The multi-crore Saradha ponzi scam has now come knocking at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's door.  It now appears that, back in 2010, when Ms Banerjee was the Union Railway minister, the Saradha Group had bagged a contract with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, or IRCTC. It puts out of court her claims that she was not too familiar with the group till it went bust in 2013.

Numerous allegations had been raised about the links between the Group -- which cheated thousands of people who invested in its schemes - and Ms Banerjee's party and government. But her role had never come under the scanner. India Today, Sept.2 http://bit.ly/1q55LM6

Shown here is the chart for the last solar eclipse of April 29 drawn for Calcutta. The eclipse in tropical Taurus is on the MC opposite Saturn in Scorpio. More specifically, it is conjunct the star Schedar of Cassiopeia often depicted as an arrogant queen.

Schedar, Alpha Cassiopeia, the head of the Queen, tightly conjoining Hamal, impels somewhat of a prideful and arrogant tone, often a head-trip of being lost in the glitter of power upon the human stage. Immature challenge and boast can express here with ramifications only accentuating the drama of the tightening jaws of fear-based collective consciousness (Cetus) and the butting response provided by the head of the Ram. Hamal and Schedar can express as power struggles amongst leaders or those who are headstrong, with lessons about how arrogance creates struggle in the material world; and how compassion opens the way through. [1]

The eclipse is in a quincunx aspect to the Mars leg of the powerful and transformative Grand Cross containing Uranus-Pluto. It is also opposite Saturn in Scorpio.

Libra is the sign that is often linked to  the act of people coming together in some kind of a partnership – business or personal. Scorpio – the sign that follows Libra – represents the fruits of the association. These fruits can take the form of a business boom, when the possibility to make trading and human association extraordinarily profitable occurs.  For participants the desire for unprecedented profits (psychological as well as financial)  can reach an extreme of intensity at times when entirely new opportunities for personal and group expansion and desires arise. Therefore, Scorpio also presents a test for the participants – a test of integrity and honesty. And Saturn transits through Scorpio represents such karmic times when failures in this test are brought to light.

Progressing the eclipse chart to September 2, the date of the new report, brings the Grand Cross  containing the Uranus-Pluto-Mars to the meridian axis. Mars[12li]  is conjunct the stars Vindemiatrix [10li]  of the Virgin and omicron Hydrae [11li]. Describing the star background in this area Diana Rosenberg writes.

Few other skyscapes are so polarized between light and dark, clear air and suffocating darkness, with a tremendous conflict between the Virgin’s honest, upright will-to-do good and the Hydra’s dark lair of greed, sensuality and arrogant self-interest; some are tempted to dishonesty, become involved in scandals and have trouble with the law; there are both oppressions and struggles against them and transits to these stars often bring about major changes in laws, mores, governments and ways of thinking often preceded, accompanied or followed by witch hunts. Ms. Banerjee, the Chief Minister, was born on January 5, 1955. Note that Pluto [14cp] – the opener of the can of worms – is conjunct her radix Sun [14cp].
