China-India: Opportunity for “Navigating New Directions”

President Xi Jinping Xi is due in New Delhi on Wednesday for a three-day visit focused on trade, investment and the resolution of decades-old border disputes. As the world's second-largest economy and with a proven track record at building highways, railways, and industrial zones, China has much to offer India. NDTV; Sept 17

We are currently in the Last Quarter phase of the Aug 25 New Moon. A chart for this phase drawn for Delhi, India is shown here. The following is an extract from Nick Fiorenza’s Lunar Planner August 25, 2014 New Moon, “Navigating New Directions” [1]

The  August 25, 2014 New Moon occured amongst the stars of the Lion. The New Moon conjoined Megrez and Al Kaphrah of The Great Bear; Alpha and Gamma of the Sextant; and the Vela Pulsar, an extremely old Super Nova remnant on the sail of Argo Navis.

This area of the zodiak is about changing winds and our need to adjust our approach toward our desired destination based upon the changing conditions occurring in the world around us, without losing site of our long-term goals. It may require that we look at things in a new way or from a different perspective.

The Last Quarter Moon creates our “inner need to initiate change” in the lunar cycle as we move into the cycle’s last and transitional quarter. The Last Quarter Moon occurs on September 16 toward the end of sidereal Taurus, in the horns of the Bull. Conjoining stars include El Nath and Al Hecka of Taurus and Alnilam in the Orion's belt.

The Moon lies between the ecliptical longitudes of El Nath and Al Hecka. El Nath, Beta Taurus is the north horn the Bull. El Nath motivates tenacious perseverance for accomplishment. It inspires the drive to achieve a breakthrough. El Nath is of a worthy pursuit for our future freedom. Al Hecka, Zeta Taurus, the south horn, is of stalemates, standoffs, and brick walls—fighting old and antiquated crusades—particularly of a religious-political nature—and blindly or automatically continuing the fight out of habitual pattern even though the original purpose behind what we were fighting for is long gone. Al Hecka can express as beating one’s head against the wall, a relentless and futile pursuit. Al Hecka brings attention to when the accomplishment pursued is of a time no longer applicable—the time to surrender the physical struggle and move onward into a field of mutual cooperation.

In this context it must be recalled that India and China have a border dispute whose origins go back to colonial times [2]. It would be in the interest of both countries to resolve this dispute amicably and move forward. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, the stars of the Last Quarter Moon are saying just that.

A few additional points connected with the Last Quarter Moon phase chart needs attention. Notice that the Phase chart places a Grand Cross on the angles.

Juno square the Lunar Nodes: Issues to address regarding inequality in relationships, mutual respect, etc., and making any required changes in relationships and partnerships of all types.
Mercury-Pallas-North Node: Establishing a greater equality and social justice in relations though communication, resulting in new level of artful expression of creative intelligence and a new level of equilibrium in relationships. Also establishing a new foundation in relationships that is in greater equilibrium and beyond conflict from which a clearer level of creative expression can emerge.
