Indian Supreme Court cancels coal scandal permits

India's Supreme Court has cancelled almost all the coal mining licences awarded by the government since 1993 in a corruption scandal which has cost the country tens of billions of dollars. The court scrapped 214 of 218 licences awarded from 1993-2010 after finding they had been awarded illegally. BBC; Sept 24

Among other things, the 9th house in mundane astrology rules the law courts as well as long distance travel. In yesterday’s post on India’s Mars mission we saw how the activation of the last lunar eclipse of April 15 resulted in a successful space mission. Here the very same activation will be studied to see its working in our present case.

Let us first look at the Jupiter [14le] transit over the Ascendant [13le] trine Uranus [13ar] which is part of the Grand Cross containing the Uranus-Pluto square. The Uranus-Pluto square is about the process of transformation in which an old corrupt order is collapsing (Pluto in Capricorn). Here the Jupiter transit serves as an activating trigger. Uranus [13ar] is conjunct the star Alderamin [1] about which Nick Fiorenza writes:

Alderamin, [12ar]  the Alpha star of Cepheus, is the right shoulder of King Cepheus, father of the Royal Family and Princess Andromeda, often portraying one in an authoritative position. With afflicted alignments, Alderamin can expresses as denial, avoidance, or turning one's head from dealing with the manipulative power plays causing our or other people's entrapment with a flippant attitude to do anything about them. Here we can live in submission to manipulative forces rather than to stand up for self and for those unjustly held in bondage, even when it is our responsibility to do so. With empowered alignments, Alderamin impels impartial and emotionally clearheaded authoritarian action to address entrapping situations in a way that provides resolution. Alderamin ultimately provides aid or solution, but often after what may seem like an initial aloofness. Alpheratz and Alderamin amalgamate to form a fortunate outcome, but sometimes drawn out through the emotional Piscean waters, and a long period of unwillingness or simple naivete to look at and  acknowledge how we are immersed in a pool of psycho-emotional denial, and that our growth and maturity is prerequisite to our greater freedom of being.

This description fits perfectly the situation concerning the coal scam where the Supreme Court has come to the rescue of the Indian public after almost 20 years of corruption by Indian politicians in the allotment of licences for coal mines.

Terming the Supreme Court's ruling cancelling 214 coal blocks as "a bit harsh", Assocham President Rana Kapoor said: "Our main concern is on the kind of negative impact on the economy which has just been showing signs of recovery after over two years of slowdown".

This statement too can be understood if we look at the Jupiter-Pluto opposition in the Grand Cross activated now. Here  I quote Steven Forrest on Jupiter-Pluto.

Under hard aspects between Pluto and Jupiter, faith is embattled. Perhaps someone has gone down a road for the wrong reasons. Under hard aspects illusions are challenged. The trick lies in realising that your life as you are living it is inadequate to meet your spiritual and emotional needs, and that half the reason that’s true is that you have believed far too many lies all your life. The other half of the reason is that you’ve grown and changed, and what used to be satisfying and believable is now barren and false. Comforting but phony elements of life must be released and new possibilities seized under less than auspicious circumstances.

Finally, we look at the progression of the lunar eclipse chart to Sept 24. We find the Grand Cross triggered by the progressed meridian. On the MC with Mars are stars of Virgo and the evil Hydra.

The constellation Virgo  was sometimes identified with  the virgin goddess Iustitia or Astraea, holding the scales of justice in her hand as the constellation Libra. Interestingly, many of the other mythological female figures who were believed to represent Virgo include Dike (Greek mythology), and Erigone (Roman mythology), all of whom represented Justice. Once you realize that Libra (the scales of justice) is the next sign in the zodiac following Virgo, suddenly things begin to make more sense.

With both  the  Virgin and the Hydra here there can be issues of morality vs amorality, corruption and greed vs justice for sins committed.

Describing the star background in this area Diana Rosenberg writes [3].

Few other skyscapes are so polarized between light and dark, clear air and suffocating darkness, with a tremendous conflict between the Virgin’s honest, upright will-to-do good and the Hydra’s dark lair of greed, sensuality and arrogant self-interest; some are tempted to dishonesty, become involved in scandals and have trouble with the law; there are both oppressions and struggles against them and transits to these stars often bring about major changes in laws, mores, governments and ways of thinking often preceded, accompanied or followed by witch hunts.

Our September 24, 2014 New Moon conjoins the Dwarf Planet Makemake [2]. About this newly discovered planet Nick Fiorenza writes:

Makemake

Makemake is the Polynesian name for the creator god of humanity in the mythology of the South Pacific island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Makemake was recently discovered on March 31, 2005, and thus its astrological influence is exploratory. Based upon an exploration of Makemake’s orbital parameters and its recent role during the 2008-2011 economic turn, Makemake appears to bring attention to leadership issues regarding the administration of resources; and in areas involving economics, ecology and human survival. Makemake may also impel strategic planning and enterprising action to create environmental conditions that ensure a healthy, prosperous and abundant life for groups or for the people in general. Makemake may also act to sort out those who are truly worthy of being in a leadership role from those who are not. Makemake impels audacious action and extraordinary feats of personal accomplishment that serve the greater wellbeing of the people.
