The Supreme Court of India on Friday (Sept 5) said
that the undertrial prisoners who have already spent in jail half of the period
of the sentence they would have got if convicted for the offences they are
charged with, will now be released. The apex court bench headed by Chief
Justice R.M. Lodha said that judicial officers of the districts will visit the
jails under their jurisdiction once a week to look into such cases and order
the release of such undertrial prisoners. The court said that two months'
drive, starting from Oct 1, will see a sessions judge and judicial officers
subordinate to him visiting the jails under their jurisdiction to examine such
cases and ordering the undertrials' release. India Today, Sept 5
Long after
eclipses are over and gone, they continue to affect events in our lives. This
is especially true in places where eclipses or major configurations
accompanying them aspect the angles. Shown here is the chart for the solar
eclipse of November 3 at Delhi .
Notice that the eclipse [11sc] is square
the meridian axis making it very significant for the place.
A simple
technique, among others, to find when an
eclipse would manifest is to calculate when the angles of the mundane map reach
an aspect to the eclipse. Here the radix mundane eclipse map has the MC square
the eclipse. Progressing it to September 5, brings the Ascendant [11ge18] to an
inconjunct aspect to the eclipse Sun [11sc16] triggering it into manifestation.
The eclipse
[11sc16] is conjunct the star Alphecca,
alpha Corona Borealis [12sc12] which was part of the ancient Chinese asterisms T’ien-Lao, the Celestial Prison or T’ien-Wei, the Celestial Jail. Eta Corona Borealis (7sc18) was the door of the
prison. Alpha [Alphecca] (12sc28) was
the jailer. It was said that when all
stars were clearly seen the prisons of the empire would be full, but if only
seven stars were visible many would be pardoned; alpha shining bright meant
many prisoners, but if it was faint many would be released [1].
Mars
[11vi], the ruler of the mundane 12th house associated with prisons and
also issues of human rights is sextile the eclipse [11sc]. It is conjunct the star Zosma which Bernadette Brady
associates with victimhood.
Both Mars
and the eclipse form a Yod with Uranus [9ar22] . In
a previous post I had explained the deeper significance of Sabian symbol phase 10 (occupied here by
Uranus). An extract from the post is reproduced below:
The earliest sources of the myth combining Cepheus,
Cassiopeia, Andromeda, Perseus, Cetus and Pegasus are not known. A king
symbolically represents leadership and responsibility to bring order to a
chaotic mass here represented by the sea and the sea monster Cetus. Life and
consciousness are struggling to emerge from the dangerous primal soup – the
sea. Sabian 1 degree shows a woman
emerging from the sea]. Such an emergence is fraught with danger and at first
susceptible to failure. Here King Cepheus
and Queen Cassiopeia represent early attempts by the ego that makes laws to force an arbitrary order on this
chaotic matrix. Symbolically in the
story this is shown by the imprisonment
of the next generation – Princess Andromeda – and the possibility of her being devoured by the
sea monster Cetus. This drama is played out primarily but not exclusively in
the first ten degrees of tropical Aries. The Sabian symbol for 10 Aries is “A
Teacher gives new symbolic forms to traditional images”. In this phase we find
the capacity to restate the problem inherent in the first phase, i.e. the
problem of focusing one’s energies emotional drives and cultural values which
exclude more than they include. As a result there now arises in consciousness a
desire to reformulate at a new level much that had been taken for granted
because it indeed originally had been an evolutionary necessity. This is where
Perseus and Pegasus are getting ready to rescue Andromeda from the jaws of
Cetus.
Since the
Sabian Symbol for Uranus is 10Ar we can now understand why the King (the Supreme Court here) has felt a need to
revise his attitude towards Andromeda (prisoners held unjustly without trial )
