Native American Navajo tribe wins settlement

“Our task must be to free ourselves . . .by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.”

-- Albert Einstein

BOULDER, Colo. — In the largest settlement obtained by an American Indian tribe from the federal government, the Navajo Nation will receive $554 million to end a lawsuit alleging that the government mismanaged the community’s assets for more than 50 years.

The settlement, which the Justice Department outlined on Wednesday, is the latest agreement made between the Obama administration and Indian tribes that say the government did not act in their best interests when managing their natural resources. The sum the Navajos will receive exceeds agreements with other tribes by more than $170 million; the arrangement will be formally announced Friday at the Navajo Nation headquarters in Window Rock, Ariz. This news comes to us  at the Sept 24 New Moon. A chart for the New Moon at Boulder, Colorado is shown here. It takes place in the fourth house conjunct the newly discovered dwarf planet Makemake.

In mundane astrology, the 4th house rules the land and also embraces a concern with 'roots', tradition and history so that by association it is connected to the original natives.

Makemake

Makemake is the Polynesian name for the creator god of humanity in the mythology of the South Pacific island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Makemake was recently discovered on March 31, 2005, and thus its astrological influence is exploratory. Based upon an exploration of Makemake’s orbital parameters and its recent role during the 2008-2011 economic turn, Makemake appears to bring attention to leadership issues regarding the administration of resources; and in areas involving economics, ecology and human survival. Makemake may also impel strategic planning and enterprising action to create environmental conditions that ensure a healthy, prosperous and abundant life for groups or for the people in general. Makemake may also act to sort out those who are truly worthy of being in a leadership role from those who are not. Makemake impels audacious action and extraordinary feats of personal accomplishment that serve the greater wellbeing of the people. [1]

But lunations are like the “minute hand” of a clock and major events are usually supported by an “hour hand” like an ingress or an eclipse. Shown here is the chart for the October 18, 2013 lunar eclipse. Notice the T-square involving Kronos-Uranus-Pluto on the angles as in the New Moon chart. In addition there is a trine from Neptune to Kronos-Hades.

Kronos-Uranus-Pluto: Changes in laws

Hades-Kronos-Neptune: Laws or legislation (Kronos) that is affected by compassion (Neptune) for the underprivileged or poor (Hades).

Progressing the eclipse chart to Sept. 24 brings the Mars opposite Neptune to the meridian. Neptune [3pi] is conjunct the star Fomalhaut [4pi] and opposite Mars [3vi].

Mars-Neptune: Compassion in action

Fomalhaut, one of the four Royal Stars, embodies the essence of a humanitarian-based society, one in which basic human needs are met for all people.

The asteroid Hopi [27sa] is conjunct  the descendant of the progressed chart [26] tells us for whom the Mars-Neptune “compassion in action” is reserved for in this case.

HOPI: Native American peoples;  indigenous peoples; minority groups. [2]
