Sir John Franklin: Fabled Arctic ship found

One of two British explorer ships that vanished in the Arctic more than 160 years ago has been found, Canada's prime minister says. Stephen Harper said it was unclear which ship had been found, but photo evidence confirmed it was one of them. Sir John Franklin led the two ships and 129 men in 1845 to chart the Northwest Passage in the Canadian Arctic. The expedition's disappearance shortly after became one of the great mysteries of the age of Victorian exploration. BBC; Sept 9 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-29131757

Rear-Admiral Sir John Franklin (16 April 1786 – 11 June 1847) was a British Royal Navy officer and Arctic explorer. Franklin also served as Lieutenant-Governor of Tasmania for several years. He disappeared on his last expedition, attempting to chart and navigate a section of the Northwest Passage in the Canadian Arctic. The icebound ships were abandoned and the entire crew perished from starvation, hypothermia, tuberculosis, lead poisoning and scurvy.

Shown here is the chart for the solar eclipse of November 3, 2013  drawn for Ottawa, Canada. The eclipse is placed in the 12th house  that rules things that have remained hidden…those that deal with unfortunate events and self undoing as the following reference from Skyscript indicates:

The 12th house represents matters that are hidden, restrained, secret, incapable of action or of being fully understood. Traditionally, however, it is a wholly unfortunate house, associated with sad events, sorrow and all manner of affliction and self-undoing. http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h12.html

The eclipse [11sc] is conjunct the stars phi and tau Herculis [11sc50;14sc34] and kappa Carinae [13sc34] in the celestial ship Argo’s keel. Also on the Ascendant [22sc26] of the chart is sigma Herculis [23sc26].  Apart from listing “shipwrecks” among possible events  for these stars,  Diana Rosenberg writes:

“Capable of a stubborn gallantry and courage against great odds; they do not necessarily follow the crowd; wilful, rash, headstrong, self-indulgent, they do things their own way, and the defiant, daredevil nature of Hercules may lead to unwise, careless, even reckless speculation and (sometimes) its comeuppance, with a possible loss of position and/or reputation”.

Another significant feature of the eclipse chart is the position of Mars opposite Neptune aligned with the meridian axis. Martha Wescott describes the Mars-Neptune dynamics as follows. Do we see Mars energy trapped by the Neptunian waters? Neptune (water) is square the TNP Admetus  (cold) [1]  – the combination being a symbol for frozen water (ice). Incidentally, Mars and the MC are conjunct the stars beta Sextant and Al Wazn, lambda Velorum of the ship Argo.

You may  see some dissipation of a  person's physical energy or will--or be aware of situations where  there's something hidden...that affects impetus, action, or strength.   To practice for all this, pretend you're standing in chest deep water  and try to run as fast as you can....see???!  You might "give up before  ya' got very far"--and that's a clue to another sign of the muddy waters  that attend attempts to "do something."

Progressing the chart to September 9, 2014, the date of the news, brings a Grand Cross to an alignment with the angles with Mars and Sun forming a Yod with the descendant and Uranus. On the MC [14cn] is the star Canopus [15cn], the brightest star of the ship Argo and on the Ascendant [10li] is mu Velorum in the sail of Argo.

Uranus (Aries) on the descendant square Pluto (Capricorn) is a perfect symbol for a daredevil pioneer (Aries) in the service of  king and empire (Capricorn).

Finally the TNP Zeus on the Ascendant is square the Kronos-Hades on the MC.

ZEUS: Restrained or creative fire/energy; enthusiasm; controlled & directed forces (thus both planning and controlling strong emotions;) ability to harness energies for accomplishment.

HADES:  messy situations; mistakes.

Hades-Zeus
Errors based on a lack of planning,  training; failure to complete the task at hand.

PS:

Sir John Franklin (born 16 April 1786) had his Sun [26ar] in tropical Aries – the sign of the explorer-pioneer. There was a Grand Cross in his chart comprising Zeus [13ar] – Neptune [15li] – Uranus [17cn] – Admetus [16cp] with Hades [12sc] making a quincunx aspect to the Zeus leg [13ar].  The current Uranus-Pluto square is transiting over the radix Grand Cross. Also note that the November 3, 2013  eclipse fell on his radix Hades highlighting the issues connected with the same planet and TNP combinations discussed above.
