Wind Turbines Alter German Landscape

HELIGOLAND, Germany — Of all the developed nations, few have pushed harder than Germany to find a solution to global warming. And towering symbols of that drive are appearing in the middle of the North Sea.

They are wind turbines, standing as far as 60 miles from the mainland, stretching as high as 60-story buildings and costing up to $30 million apiece. On some of these giant machines, a single blade roughly equals the wingspan of the largest airliner in the sky, the Airbus A380. By year’s end, scores of new turbines will be sending low-emission electricity to German cities hundreds of miles to the south. Sept 13 http://nyti.ms/1uxivvp

This heartening news comes to us on the eve of a Lunar Eclipse of October 8. The chart for the eclipse at Heligoland is shown here. Notice the eclipse is significantly placed on the meridian axis and is part of a Uranus-Pluto-Venus T-square.

About Uranus-Pluto Richard Tarnas notes:

With Pluto acting on Uranus, we can see what could be called the intensification on a massive scale (Pluto) of technology (Uranus) or the empowerment (Pluto) of revolutionary breakthroughs (Uranus) and awakenings”.  He gives as an example the  tremendous scientific discovery and revolutions in science at  turn of the Twentieth Century when a Pluto-Uranus opposition [1896-1905]  took place. “Epochal breakthroughs” in technology occurred, such as the discovery of radioactivity and the electron, the invention of the automobile, Zeppelin, and the airplane. The number of automobiles in America rose a thousand-fold from 25 in 1896 to 25,000 in 1905.

The chart also gives us a clue to a possible area of the  technological breakthrough. Notice that Venus [10li] on the MC is conjunct the stars Vindemiatrix, epsilon Virginis,[10li] in the Wing of the Virgin and mu Velorum [11li] in the Sail of Argo Navis and Gienah, gamma Corvi [11li] in the Crow’s wing. Sails and Wings are so close symbolically to Wind Turbines whose giant blades act like the sail of a ship or the wings of a bird!

The Moon [15ar]  and Uranus [14ar] are conjunct the star Alpheratz, alpha Andromeda [14ar], in the head of the Chained Woman. It is extremely interesting that the star in Andromeda’s Head is also the Navel of Pegasus for it means that the Flying Horse, symbol of a powerful mind and unbridled imagination, is “born” from the head of a Chained Woman; thus the great message here is that no matter what constraint life imposes  our minds are free to discover new ways to free ourselves from the past.  The use of wind energy – a renewable resource – frees us from our dependence on fossil fuel that has been the primary cause of environmental pollution since the beginning of the industrial age.
