Cave paintings change ideas about the origin of art

Pictoris – the Painter’s Easel

Scientists have identified some of the earliest cave paintings produced by humans. The artworks are in a rural area on the Indonesian Island of Sulawesi. Until now, paintings this old had been confirmed in caves only in Western Europe. Researchers tell the journal Nature that the Indonesian discovery transforms ideas about how humans first developed the ability to produce art. There are human figures, and pictures of wild hoofed animals (bovids that appear to look like goats) that are found only on the island. Dr Maxime Aubert, of Griffith University in Queensland, Australia, who dated the paintings found in Maros in Southern Sulawesi, explained that one of them (shown immediately below) was probably the earliest of its type. The discovery of the Indonesian cave art is important because it shows the beginnings of human intelligence as we understand it today. To understand this we will look at the lunar eclipse chart of April 15, 2014 drawn for Maros. The eclipse Moon [25li] is conjunct the star Spica, alpha Virginis [24li]. This was part of the Indian lunar mansion Chitra.

Citraa connotes the idea of a picture. Citraa denotes a picture, a wonderful picture with bright colours or a sketch that srikes the eyes; something that arrests attention. It attaches with it varieties, wonderment or that which dazzles [1]

The Sun is [25ar] conjunct the asteroid  2002 TX300 [26ar].  This is an asteroid that has not yet been named. However, Nick Fiorenza’s [2] research  suggests that some hint of what the asteroid stands for can be known through its four orbital parameters – the South and North Nodes and the Aphelion and Perihelion. For our purpose here we will simply look at the stars that form the backdrop to the Nodes.  For TX300, the South Node is at 24leo32 while the North Node is at 24aq32. The star Alpha Pictoris [24le] in the constellation of the Painter’s Easel conjoins the South Node while Delta (δ) Capricornus, Deneb Algedi, [24aq] , a star in the Sea Goat's tail [3] is on the North Node.  In the present context this asteroid is obviously referring to the painting of a goat!

The Goat

Incidentally, the asteroid Pallas [25le] that is linked to perceptual skills is also conjunct alpha Pictoris – the Painter’s easel.

About the effect of stars conjunct Venus [10pi], which forms hard aspect to the eclipse axis Diana Rosenberg  tells us:

Here the stars of Pegasus and Cygnus the Swan contribute to imaginations that fly high. There is an involvement with the primitive  - a love of ancient knowledge, traditions and deep sources of national, racial or tribal inheritance. The Arabic “Luck of Hidden Things” manifests in interesting ways producing archaeologists and discoveries of ancient art and artifacts [4].

Progressing the chart aligns the horizon with the radix Sun [25ar16] and Moon [25li16] triggering a news item that reports on the issues mentioned above.
