Bootes – the Good Shepherd
When
Don Dunbar went fishing on September 8, a young bald eagle probably wasn’t the
catch he had in mind. But that’s what he got as he encountered the waterlogged
raptor floundering in the waters of Nanoose
Bay (map) in British
Columbia , Canada .
The raw video Dunbar shot while bringing the
bird on board using a net has gone viral. When the stunned youngster proved
unable to fly, Dunbar brought it to a local wildlife rescue center, O.W.L.
Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society, of Delta, British Columbia . http://bit.ly/ZDY1p3
The April
15 Total Lunar Eclipse [25li] was conjunct the asteroids Ceres [25li] and Vesta [23] and the dwarf
planet Haumea [20li] [1]. Ceres and Haumea are both linked to our caring for
the environment. The dwarf planet Haumea is regarded as a protecter guardian, and nurturer and produces
individuals who act in accord with nature and the natural world, and express a new level of awareness about what is
truly life supportive [2].
The Full Moon
also conjoined the stars Spica, alpha Virgo , the Virgin and Archturus, alpha Bootis,
the herdsman or shepherd. To the Arabs he was Al Haris al Soma, Protector of Heaven and Al
Haris al Samak, Protector of the Defenceless One. As a symbol, the
shepherd-herdsman is a caring father-figure. In ancient Greece the
Herdsman, Orpheus-Boukolos, was the
Good Shepherd with a ram or kid on his shoulder. The pastoral shepherd symbolizes
support, protection, authority, guidance and mercy.
The eclipse
Full Moon forms a stellium with planets on the MC. These comprise Mars, Zeus,
Vesta and Ceres. Nick Fiorenza points out that this makes the Full Moon eclipse
a part of the Grand Cross and should be treated as such [1]. Here Mars and the TNP Zeus are conjunct the
star Seginus, gamma Bootis on the left shoulder of the Herdsman. Seginus inspires
responsible action to provide personal and intimate support by making possible
and ensuring proper energetic environments and bio-logical physical conditions
are created for the well being of others.
In the
Grand Cross Pluto is conjunct the star 4 Aquilae, in the wing of the eagle. Jupiter
is opposite Pluto in tropical Cancer – a combination associated with caring and
nurturance.
Progressing
the eclipse chart to September 8, the date of the rescue brings the Mars and
Zeus in the Grand Cross to the IC from their position on the MC in the radix
thereby triggering the issues mentioned above.
