Corona Borealis: The Endless
Enclosure
It has been three years since Robinson the baboon
became stranded on an island in the Zambezi
River . Despite rescue
attempts by tourists and frequent calls from his family, Robinson doesn't seem
to be going anywhere. I was standing on the deck of the Ruckomechi safari camp,
(in Zimbabwe's Mana Pools National Park) gazing across the Zambezi River to the grey
hills of the escarpment in Zambia, when my guide pointed at a non-descript
island mid-stream - a low blur of vetiveria grass. "There's a baboon
trapped over there," he said. "He's been there three years. We call him
Robinson." BBC; Oct 2, 2014. http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-29441074
Here again
we look at an eclipse that took place almost a year ago on November 3, 2013 but
which continues to create events in the present. The chart for the eclipse
drawn for Mana Pools has a Ceres-Vesta combination on the descendant is square
Venus on the MC with both forming aspects to the TNP Admetus.
Ceres, the
mother of the main asteroids, brings awareness to how we nurture and to that
which is truly nurturing to us. Ceres asks for acknowledgment of our inner
needs, to have self love and self worth. Negatively, Ceres can show up as over-attachment
to loved ones. [1]
Mythological
Vesta [1] is the revered goddess of the Vestal Virgins. A Virgin personifies the soul in its state of
primordial innocence and inviolabe purity. The Virgin in ancient times was a
woman who did not belong to any man so that among other things she symbolized a kind of aloneness or isolation
to help her get in touch with her true soul intent and purpose.
Ceres-Vesta: The
need for isolation or distance from loved ones in order help get us touch with
our own inner needs.
The Ceres-Vesta
combination is square Venus on the MC and both form aspects to the TNP Admetus.
It is also trine the asteroids Juno (relationships) and Diana (animals). Martha
Wescott’s key phrase “issues with self-containment” for Admetus confirms the
need for isolation from loved ones.
Admetus:
Facing blockages; encountering delays, issues with self-containment,
shunning; literal and behavioral cold.
Finally,
notice that Mercury [7sc26] is conjunct the stars of the Chinese lunar mansions
Kang-Tchi, the Moat of the Court or Pond of
the Mansion which represented the water moat surrounding the court or palace where the prince or Emperor lived. Mercury in turn is conjunct the eclipse [11sc16]
which was part of Corona Borealis. The stars of Corona Borealis were called Lien-So, The Garland and Lien-Ying,
The Endless Enclosure. In another vein it was T'ien Lao, The Celestial Prison [2]. An image
of Corona Borealis or Corona Australis (the Southern Crown) based on Bayer’s Uranometria, 1603 is
shown above fits the description of an
Endless Enclosure. In our context here it is the “moat” or “water body”
surrounding Robinson’s island!
If we now
progress the eclipse chart to October 2, the date of the news, we find the
descendant conjunct the eclipse degree bringing to life the issues mentioned
above.
In summary
we can say that events in our world ,even if they involve animals, have symbolic messages for us.
