Unearthing a Barbarous Past in Poland

BIALYSTOK, Poland — Zbigniew Kulikowski stood at the crumbling edge of a muddy hole staring down at a trio of workers gently brushing the dirt from the yellowing bones of several intertwined skeletons. In a little over a year of sporadic digging, more than 280 bodies have been pulled from burial pits in the sandy, red-streaked earth behind this century-old prison, anonymous victims of the Nazis, the Soviets or the Polish secret police. Suddenly, a worker in a white safety suit scurried up, short of breath. More remains, he said, had just been uncovered in the back garden of a nearby apartment complex, built on what once had been prison property. Mr. Kulikowski, the prosecutor in charge of the case, gasped and grabbed his head with both hands. “These are not burial grounds,” he said. “These are death fields.” The grim past is never very far beneath the surface in Poland, where battling armies and ideologies left behind a catalog of 20th-century atrocities that the open, democratic Polish society of today is still discovering and coming to terms with. This news is best understood from the chart for the Lunar Eclipse of April 15, 2014 at Bialystok. Notice that a powerful Grand Cross straddles the horizon axis which includes the potentially violent square of Mars-Pluto.

In his article “Mars, Pluto and the Monster Within Us All,” Wendell C. Perry writes [1]:

We all have moments when we play at being monsters. What we are doing in these moments is exploring, in a harmless way, the purview of Mars and Pluto. Mars rules aggression and physical exertion. Pluto is the planet of extremes and deep, transgressive desires. We all have a bit of Mars and Pluto in our natures. When Mars and Pluto are connected by strong aspects in our horoscopes these "monstrous" tendencies are more pronounced and, sometimes, they can get out of hand.

Conjunct Uranus [13ar] and Mercury[14ar] are stars of Cetus, the Sea Monster and King Cepheus. Here King Cepheus with his considerable authority but under the sway of the Sea Monster is prone to use strongarm tactics.  Diana Rosenberg links this area  to “intolerance, brutality and massacres” [2].

On the Ascendant with Jupiter [12cn] are the stars Al Zirr, xi Geminorum of Pollux and 62 Aurigae above the Charioteer’s whip. Pollux is often shown holding a club so that a combination with Auriga’s whip can produce a “mean streak” [3].

With Pluto [13cp] on the descendant are stars of Aquila, the Eagle and the Archer. This combination once again can produce very forceful people who  act like tyrants and conquerors[4].

On the MC [10pi] are Venus [10pi] and Neptune [6pi]. This is an area that Dian Rosenberg links to the Chinese asterisms Wei and Hiu-Liang. The asterism Wei presided over tombs and graves while Hiu-Liang was the Funeral Mound Bridge. Burial places in China were surrounded by four ditches to prevent passers by from getting too close [5].

The eclipse chart was triggered on Oct. 5, the date of the news, in at least two ways. First the transit Sun [12li] triggered the Grand Cross. Second, the eclipse chart progressed by the PSSR method brings the Grand Cross to an alignment with the meridian.
