Jinasiri, or Jason Chan, as he prefers to be known,
has trained as a Theravada Buddhist monk. Since August 2011 he has been walking
the east coast of Australia
barefoot, wearing three saffron robes and carrying a blanket and an alms bowl.
He stops in one place from July to September, just as the Buddha did during the
rainy season 2,500 years ago. Oct 31 http://ab.co/1rLFcGO
To
understand this news, we will go back to the April 29, 2014 New Moon Eclipse at
Sydney . The eclipse [9ta] was conjunct the asteroid
Toro [10ta] that is associated with activities that require physical exertion. Notice
that the eclipse aligns a powerful Grand Cross and a Grand Trine with Jupiter and TNPs Kronos and Hades on the MC. These
are in tropical Cancer overlaid by the stars of the Twins and the Chinese
asterism Tsing, The Well.
Symbolically,
the Chinese Well stands for life giving and spiritually nourishing waters so
that we have people here who dig deep to find mankind’s spiritual heritage. There
are three stars here that refer to the feet (and by association walking) – nu Geminorum, Castor’s right foot, Murzim, beta
Canis Majoris, left front paw and Furud, zeta Canis Majoris, left hind paw.
Poseidon –
the TNP associated with spirituality and religion – is conjunct mu Crucis, a
star in the Cross. The cross, one of the oldest and most basic symbols of
humankind, is a metaphor for life’s
agonising pain sometimes chosen voluntarily for the sake of the spirit.
Hades-Poseidon: An ancient religion
Kronos-Poseidon: A spiritual master or teacher
(e.g. the Buddha)
On the
Ascendant is Mars [11li] conjunct stars of the Virgin and Coma Berenice. Coma’s
dedication is put to the preservation of traditions and the survival of ancient knowledge. Vindemiatrix, epsilon
Virginis (10li) was the Arabic Almuredin,
“one sent forth in the faith”. A Buddhist monk fits the picture perfectly!
Progressing
the eclipse chart to the Oct.31, the date of the news, aligns the T-square and
the Grand Trine with the IC triggering its potential.
