Brittany Maynard, who became the public face of the
controversial right-to-die movement over the last few weeks, ended her own life
Saturday at her home in Portland ,
Oregon . She was 29. "Goodbye
to all my dear friends and family that I love. Today is the day I have chosen
to pass away with dignity in the face of my terminal illness, this terrible
brain cancer that has taken so much from me … but would have taken so much
more," she wrote on Facebook. http://bit.ly/1txMp2Z
We are
still in the wake of a powerful Lunar Eclipse that occurred on October 8 that
continues to cause events on earth. At Portland ,
Oregon the eclipse took place in
8th house linked to death. The
eclipse Moon along with Uranus was in tropical Aries – a combination linked to
the “head” and “migraines” [1]. The Sun
was conjunct the TNP Zeus and the asteroids Lacrimosa and Lilith. About these combinations Martha
Wescott writes:
Lilith: decisions (regarding angle or aspects.)
Lacrimosa
(Orpheus) : sense of mourning and loss; grief (for what you
don't have-what has gone out of your life what might have been or what was);
contact with death.
Zeus: controlled
& directed efforts (thus both planning and controlling strong emotions)
Lilith-Orpheus
Some situation will bring awareness that people can choose or "be
selected" for death.
Lacrimosa/Zeus
You may see that people do certain kinds of
planning or shift their priorities based
on a new awareness of their mortality.
Two other
bits of information that come from the stars on the MC and the descendant of
the chart add to same theme of grief and death.
On the MC
[29ta] is the star Alcyone of Pleaides.
'The Pleiades were known as Seven Sisters (usually
shown weeping) by indigenous people in North America .
It was said according to medieval traditions
that anyone influenced by the 29th degree of Taurus (0 Gemini now) will at some
point in their life, suffer "a fate to weep about". [2]
On the
descendant is Neptune [5pi] part of the
Chinese asterism Wei which presided
over death, demise, tears and cries.
