UK Parliament to debate ‘money creation’

‘The mechanics of money creation are poorly understood by politicians, the public and even economists. The  result is a thoroughly inadequate debate about the causes of the economic crisis, the fundamental reasons for economic injustice and the source of some of the most corrupting influences on our society. Until money creation and its consequences are widely understood, it is difficult to see how public policy will serve the public good.’ Steve Baker, Conservative MP

The British Parliament will debate ‘money creation’ for the first time in nearly 200 years next week, with MPs across most of the UK’s political parties expected to make a contribution. The debate, entitled ‘Money, Creation and Society’ will be pondered on November 20, hosted by a number of high profile MPs, including Green party MP Caroline Lucas and UKIP MP Douglas Carswell. Positive Money, an organization that wants to “democratize money and banking so that it works for society and not against it” lauded the debate as a “significant breakthrough.” They said it would create “an opportunity for MPs from all parties to learn about the issue, ask questions and deepen their understanding” of alternative financial systems. The cardinal ingresses of the Sun have a traditional reputation as  important mundane events. We are currently in the Libra  ingress quarter . Shown here is the map of the Libra ingress of the Sun at London. The Sun is  conjunct the dwarf planet Makemake with both placed in the 2nd house. Skyscript [1] defines the area that this house rules:

The nation's assets and financial status. The treasury, the exchequer, revenue and all places and activities concerned with money-making; such as banks, the stock exchange, financial institutions, money markets and trade.

Nick Fiorenza [2] explains that Makemake’s role is about interceding in the  manipulative and diversionary antics of old-paradigm world politics and big-business to help create environmental conditions that are supportive of a healthy, prosperous and abundant life for all  primarily in the area of economics, finance and money.

The Sun and Makemake are part of a Grand Cross with Uranus-Pluto-Kronos-Hades.

The highly transformative Grand Cross contains  the Uranus-Pluto square . Uranus is about radical changes while Pluto is about endings and new beginnings. Pluto in Capricorn focuses on all institutions including banks and financial institutions exposing their dark underbelly while Uranus demands reforms.

The other element of the Grand Cross which is relevant in our present context of the news is Hades-Pluto. Martha Wescott gives us the following delineation:

Hades-Pluto: Understanding of causality and the step-by-step (Hades)  construction of deeper processes (Pluto) …[here the reference would be to financial processes by which money is created].

Progressing the Ingress chart to Nov.20, the day the British Parliament is scheduled to debate the money issue, brings the Sun centred  Grand Cross to the angles.
