Security has been stepped up at US facilities
around the world ahead of the release of a report expected to reveal details of
harsh CIA interrogations, the White House says. Embassies and other sites were
taking precautions amid "some indications" of "greater
risk", a spokesman said. A 480-page summary of the Senate report is due to
be released on Tuesday. It is expected to detail the CIA's campaign against
al-Qaeda in the aftermath of 9/11. As well as detailing the controversial
methods used by CIA operatives in an effort to extract information from
high-value suspects, the report is expected to say harsh interrogations failed
to deliver appropriate results. BBC; 8 Dec. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-30383924
Capricorn
Ingress charts of the Sun have a special position in mundane astrology. They
are considered “master charts” for the year. Shown here is the current
Capricorn Ingress for Washington ,DC . Note the prominence of the chart with
the Sun at the MC as part of a Grand Cross. Astrologers have noted that the
Mars-Pluto element is linked with torture [1].
Conjunct
the Sun are the asteroids Hidalgo
and Toro.
TORO:
Machismo; bullying; intimidation (torture?)
Hidalgo/Uranus
You can expect "tensions to mount"
because there are things that aren't
being said--that people are keeping to themselves. There may well be times when a certain amount of restraint
feels necessary (in order to prevent
blow-ups or unwelcome changes and reactions,) but folks can "keep quiet" about how they have
broken rules and roles.
On the IC
we have the TNPs Kronos-Hades with the
asteroid TD10. Juan Revillo has done extensive work on the asteroid TD10 [2]. It
would appear from his work that TD10 is linked to omnipotent authoritarianism
that violates and destroys an individual.
Hades/Kronos: to
learn of secret activities of governments; to see governments and authorities
have indulged in dirty business, these actions cause embarrassment or are
experienced as degrading.
The TNPs
Hades and Kronos are conjunct the star Tejat, of Gemini about which Nick
Fiorenza writes:
Tejat will make visible that which has been
suppressed, oppressed, hidden in the closet, but that needs to be seen. This
can indicate the need to emerge from our own mental obscurations and illusions
that keep us from actions we need to take. As Tejat brings to visibility that
which has been suppressed, we may draw experiences that reflect parts of our
selves that seem rather dark and opposing to our unfoldment--the fears,
hesitancies, and blockages within our selves that keep us from stepping forth
into a greater harmony in life. Tejat asks that we be willing to walk through
the shadows of self to claim our power and place. The more we express the truth
of who we are openly in our relations and in the world the less is there room
for forces that suppress that truth.
So why now?
Progressing the chart to December 8, the date of the news, aligns the Grand Cross
once again with the angles triggering the dilemma for the US government
which has tried hard to keep the torture by the CIA under wraps.
