Indian tribal protesters stand up for their rights

For more than six months, a group of 50 tribespeople have been standing outside a government office in the southern Indian state of Kerala to press their claim for land and amenities. They are demanding that the government deliver on its promise of giving land, water and electricity to the community. Tribespeople comprise nearly 500,000 of Kerala's 33 million people and are mostly landless and desperately poor. The agitators have travelled to the capital, Trivandrum, from their faraway villages to participate in the protest. Dec.11 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-30390693

While the agitation has been going on for quite some time, the news is brought to our attention on December 11. The implication is that if we look carefully at mundane events like ingresses or eclipses we will find indication that the cosmos is trying to focus our attention on this matter now. Shown here is the chart for the Libra Ingress of the Sun at Trivandrum. Notice that it is placed in the 12th house conjunct the newly discovered dwarf planet Makemake. The twelfth house is an unfortunate house connected with persecution, slavery and human rights issues while Nick Fiorenza gives us the following meaning for Makemake [1].

Makemake is about  issues regarding the administration of resources; and in areas involving economics, ecology and human survival. Makemake may also impel strategic planning and enterprising action to create environmental conditions that ensure a healthy, prosperous and abundant life for groups or for the people in general.

The Libra Ingress Sun conjunct  Makemake impels us to take a stance for higher spiritual principles against those seeking to destroy life and who manipulatively seek to control others and the world's resources, as well as to our own less than healthy or integrous patterns of behavior.

Combining the meaning of the twelfth house with that of Makemake, it is not too difficult to understand the cosmic message here.  The message is further confirmed when we see  the Ascendant [2li]   conjunct the stars Spica, alpha Virgo , the Virgin and Arcturus, alpha Bootis, the herdsman or shepherd. To the Arabs Arcturus  was Al Haris al Soma, Protector of Heaven  and Al Haris al Samak, Protector of the Defenceless One (Spica).

Now if we progress the ingress chart to December 11, we find a Grand Cross on the angles. Here Uranus-Pluto-Kronos-Hades  is about individual groups (Uranus in Aries) especially the poor and disenfranchised (Hades) demanding their rights from a system that has become corrupt (Pluto in Capricorn).

Finally, the TNP Hades is conjunct the star Tejat, mu Gemini about which Nick Fiorenza writes:

Tejat brings to the surface that which has been suppressed, we may see parts of our selves that seem rather dark and opposing to our emergence—the fears, hesitancies, and blockages within our selves that we must step through into our paths of fulfillment in the world. Tejat and Dirah invite us to be willing to walk through the shadows of self to claim our power and place in the physical world. The more we express the truth of who we are openly in the world the less forces attempting to suppress that truth have any power.
