The government of Maldives has declared a state of
emergency after a fire at a water treatment plant cut off drinking water to the
capital. About 100,000 residents in Male
have lost access to drinkable tap water, the government says. BBC; Dec 5 . http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-30344155
The
cardinal ingresses of the Sun have a traditional reputation as important mundane events. The Capricorn
Ingress chart is considered the master chart for the year followed in
importance by the Cancer Ingress chart.
Shown here
is the current sidereal Cancer Ingress chart at Male , Maldives .
Notice the placement of Saturn on the MC in hard aspect to a Moon-Mercury-Hades
square. Mercury [5cn] and Hades [3cn] are conjunct the stars of the Chinese
asterism Tsing, The Well – the source of drinking water. Moon [6ar] is conjunct IV
Cephei [6ar] just above the King’s crown
in the constellation of Cepheus. Cepheus wears a Crown of Fire! (Romans called
him inflammatus).
Diana Rosenberg mentions that devastating
fires have been recorded under this constellation.
Progressing
the Ingress chart to Dec.5 aligns Mercury-Hades with the Ascendant and the
radix Moon with the MC triggering the fire in the drinking water plant!
Finally,
since the incident has occurred on the eve of the Full Moon of Dec.6 we look at the chart for
the Full Moon at Male to find it significantly placed on the horizon axis. Here
the Sun [14sa] is in the Indian lunar mansion Mula ruled by Nritti, “Goddess of Destruction”. Diana
Rosenberg links stars in this area with “fires” and gives the following
examples:
There were transits to these stars in 1812 when
Moscow burned during Napolean’s invasion of Russia; at the Great New York City
fire of 1835 in Manhattan’s financial district; at the 1876 Brooklyn Theatre
fire; at the 1917 Halifax harbour disaster: 2 ships one carrying 5000 tons of
high explosives collided in a monstrous explosion; at a fire in Madrid's old, wooden Novedades Theatre in 1928; at the 1946 Atlanta GA Winecoff Hotel fire and many others.
The Moon
[14ge] is conjunct the Chinese asterism Yo-Tsing,
The Precious Well!
