CNN called it Barack Obama’s Robin Hood turn and
conservatives cried class warfare. But for the Democratic base, watching the
president stand at the greatest bully pulpit on Earth and tell his audience to
try working full-time and living on $15,000 a year was surely a special moment.
They’ve waited six years for Obama to give them a night like this.
During his State of the Union address, the
president used the sly term “middle class economics” to go after the one
percent, proposing an unapologetic income redistribution plan that would take
hundreds of billions from the nation’s richest individuals to cover things the
middle class wants like free community college and child tax credits. http://www.newsweek.com/obama-state-union-one-percent-300958
The New
Moon [0aq] is placed in the 12th house – a house “governing those who are weak, infirm, or in
need of support, and as a result, the welfare state” [1]. It is conjunct the
asteroid Circe [1aq]. Martha Wescott gives us the following definition of
Circe.
CIRCE:
Helping, being of assistance & coming to the rescue.
In addition
to this notice Saturn on the MC square Neptune and Mars. The MC refers to
leaders like the President here. A Saturn-Neptune combination along with Mars
refers to the need to take action to help those most in need. Confirming this
is the position of Neptune conjunct the star Gamma
(γ) Aquarius, Sadalachbia, in the urn of the Water Bearer – usually depicted pouring
water to the thirsty masses.
So we can
see that several elements of the chart point towards the need to help those in
trouble. This is not to say that Obama is being honest or truthful. He
recognizes that with no support from a Congress that is controlled by
Republicans his plans are meaningless so voicing them may simply be a political
gimmick. Yet it is important for us to recognize what the cosmic forces in the
New Moon chart really want manifest.
Readers may
remember that we saw a very positive expression of the Mars-Saturn-Neptune
energy in a small incident that took place in Russia , just a few days back [2]. Perhaps
the homeless cat is teaching us something that US politicians appear to have
forgotten!
