Felis on the
Uranographia of Johann Bode (1801)
A baby boy not older than 12 weeks has been found
in a box on a staircase in an apartment block in the Russian town of Obninsk . The box was
meant for a cat, who – after having found a new soul in misery, warmed up the
baby and was worried to let him go. Jan.15 http://rt.com/news/223027-cat-saves-abandoned-baby/
To
understand this news we will look at the chart for the Full Moon lunar eclipse
of April 15, 2014.
The eclipse Moon [25li] was conjunct the stars Spica, [24li] alpha
Virgo, the Virgin and Arcturus, [24li] alpha Bootis, the herdsman or shepherd.
To the Arabs, Arcturus was Al Haris al Soma, Protector of
Heaven and Al Haris al Samak, Protector of the Defenceless One (Spica). Bootes
is often portrayed as a Shepherd who cares for flock and at times looking for
those animals which may haven been lost.
Notice that
the eclipse luminaries form a Grand Cross with the horizon axis. Also because
of the stellium Mars-Vesta-Ceres-Moon that translates light, the eclipse should
be considered to be anchored to the Uranus-Pluto-Jupiter-Mars Grand Cross.
Progressing
the chart to January 15, the date of the news, aligns the Grand Cross with the
horizon axis. If we remember that Uranus (in Aries) can be a selfish planet, it
is not too difficult to imagine that it could have caused the mother to want to set herself free from the
oppressive responsibilities of bringing up the baby. But then on the Ascendant
is an exalted Jupiter [13cn] in caring and motherly Cancer along with the
asteroid Child [16cn] that came to the aid of the baby in the form of a concerned
and loving cat! And now guess what – on the IC
of the chart [1vi] are the stars of the constellation Felis – the cat!!
Finally,
let us look at the chart for the prevailing Last Quarter Moon phase of January
13. Notice that the Moon [23li] is conjunct Arcturus – the Protector of the
Defenceless One – in the 6th house associated with small animals
like the cat here. The luminaries aspect the Mars-Saturn-Neptune square placed
prominently straddling the horizon. If Saturn is the planet of difficulties and
hardships, Mars-Neptune has been linked to sensitivity and compassion and is
often found in the horoscopes of social workers and those who fight for the
underdog in some way. So wasn’t the loving kitty fulfilling the cosmic energies
in such a "warm" way!
