Most cancer types 'just bad luck' ?

Most types of cancer can be put down to bad luck rather than risk factors such as smoking, a study has suggested. A US team were trying to explain why some tissues were millions of times more vulnerable to cancer than others. The results, in the journal Science, showed two thirds of the cancer types analysed were caused just by chance mutations rather than lifestyle. Cancer Research UK said a healthy lifestyle would still heavily stack the odds in a person's favour. In the US, 6.9% of people develop lung cancer, 0.6% brain cancer and 0.00072% get tumours in their laryngeal (voice box) cartilage at some point in their lifetime. Science, also widely referred to as Science Magazine, is the academic journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and is one of the world's top scientific journals. It is based in Washington, D.C., United States.

It is not surprising that this news comes to us as we head towards a Full Moon in CANCER – the zodiacal sign after which the dreaded disease is named. Cancer is a sign often very fearful of new changes, especially if these could impact security. But Pluto transits require us  to leave the past behind and embrace a new beginning. Quite often this requires getting rid of emotional garbage that is clogging our lives. When we fail to do this Pluto transits can appear as the dreaded disease  [1]. Notice that the Full Moon [14cn] of January 5 is not only opposite Sun [14cp] and Pluto [13cp] but that it is placed on the MC conjunct the asteroid Hygiea that is connected to health with Pluto which is linked to cancer  on the IC.  

The conclusion by the journal Science that  cancer is caused just by chance mutations rather than lifestyle is not supported by Astrology and even by the work of Louise Hay [2] who in her list of common illnesses and their metaphysical cause identifies the cause for cancer:

Cancer:  Deep hurt. Longstanding resentment. Deep secret or grief eating away at the self. Carrying hatreds.

Dennis Elwell in his book “The Cosmic Loom” reminds us:

Astrology is about learning to think in new categories. It embodies a system of new categories that are as different from the ones to which we are habituated, as the warp is from the weft. In this system objects and events that at first sight appear to have nothing whatever to do with each other are shown to be intimately connected. Conversely, things we naturally tend to associate may be distributed otherwise in the astrological scheme. Understanding the world around us depends on our power to perceive patterns of meaning, to make the right connections, recognize what belongs with what.

Let us see if we can use Elwell’s advice to discover a pattern of meaning that would otherwise escape us. The US Sibley which is considered the horoscope of the United States by many astrologers has the radix Sun at 13 Cancer so that it is  receiving a Pluto transit [13cp] and is activated by the Full Moon [14cn]. Symbolically speaking, US as a country  has been carrying long standing hatred and resentment against the world which shows up as meaningless wars all in the name of “homeland security”. Unless it can transform itself by throwing out this pattern of behaviour, it is headed towards the disease “cancer” which can signal its end. In this light isn’t it amusing that a leading journal of science should arrive at the conclusion that getting cancer is just a case of “bad luck”?  We must remember that nothing is a coincidence,  we are responsible for everything that happens to us including diseases.

A summary extract of Prof. John McMurtry’s article [3] is given below. The article  was published on Jan.2 the very same day as the Science post mentioned above. Both these were just a few days before the Full Moon. Perceptive readers will be able to spot  the Full Moon’s  connection to literal and symbolic “cancer”.

The evidence is now overwhelming that life on earth is in systematic decline towards collapse on all levels. But the meaning is nowhere recognized by any economic model.

At the core of the system, the global financial system ceases to function for productive investment in life goods, while the future of the next generations collapses towards 25-50% real unemployment, and a world where no birds sing. Yet nowhere is the common cause investigated or even conceived in the business press, education or high theory.

In fact, the underlying value code driving every degenerate trend is never defined. It is, rather, assumed without question or examination and set into mathematical disconnect as the sole meaning of economic inquiry.

One can test this ruling moral meta program on every degenerate trend. But because it is not seen, the greatest of all fatal confusions comes to be built into societies’ ruling meaning: that money-sequence growth = life value growth. No more malignant mutation of value and meaning has ever occurred. As on the micro level where the surrounding cell community does not recognise the multiplying gross cells eating the life-host alive, so too on the macro social level. Leading the mutant tides of hollowing-out dispossession and ruin of social and ecological life hosts is a private bank system creating tidal notes of bets, credit and debt without legal tender, and partnering with transnational corporations in predation of local economies across the world. It loots life and life bases as ‘necessary reforms’ everywhere it is allowed to move.
