Retrial in Egypt of Al-Jazeera journalists

Mohamed Famy, Baher Mohamed and Peter Greste have been in prison for over a year, convicted of conspiring with the Muslim Brotherhood. The three Al Jazeera journalists incarcerated in Egypt received a glimmer of hope on Thursday, when a court canceled their jail sentences and ordered a retrial. However, Mohamed Famy, Baher Mohamed and Peter Greste were denied bail at an appeal hearing, with the judge ruling that their case had to be reviewed by a criminal court, Al Jazeera reported.

The arrest of the three journalists was the subject of a previous post [1] that readers may like to revisit. Now this news comes to us as we head towards the Full moon of January 5 which is placed very significantly on the horizon axis at Cairo. In addition, notice that it is activating the Uranus-Pluto linked Grand Cross.

Let us remind ourselves that the Uranus-Pluto represents the archetypal clash: courageous/warrior-like actions of individuals on behalf of the people's liberties (Uranus in Aries) vs. an intensification/consolidation of power by institutional structures facing threats to their authority (Pluto in Capricorn).

Further, we notice that Node and Zeus are conjunct stars of Corvus and the Virgin.

Corvus, the Raven, was a messenger bird (jouranalists?) , quite often accused of lying [2]. In China, Vindemiatrix, Caphir and Auva represented military and court counsellors. The Virgin makes some very self-righteous and Diana Rosenberg adds that there is here a  strong military “figurehead” leadership…turbulent, bullying, domineering and manipulative….Transits to these stars bring about major changes in laws, mores, governments and ways of thinking, often preceded, accompanied or followed by “witch hunts”[3].

The activation of the Uranus-Pluto square by the Full Moon  and the quote from Diana Rosenberg above  “major changes in laws, mores, governments and ways of thinking” are afoot.
