We will
look at three mundane charts here. The first one is the chart for the last
quarter Moon of Jan.13. Notice the Mars-Saturn-Neptune square is brought to
prominence since it aspects the horizon axis. Mars is in the stage of forming
an exact square with Saturn. Conjunct
Saturn are the stars of the Serpent and Scorpion along with wild beast Lupus
barely held in check by the stars of the great Scales of Libra ( which were
once the Scorpion’s huge claws). Animal energies rage under the surface with a
desire for revenge unless justice is delivered.
Mars-Saturn
reach an exact square on Jan. 15 and here once again the Mars-Saturn-Neptune
square is highlighted since it aspects the meridian.
Finally,if
we draw the chart for the Mars-Neptune conjunction which takes place on Jan.20
we have the Mars-Saturn-Neptune square aspecting the meridian and highlighted
for the third time.
In astrology, if an aspect takes place once it
may not be very important, if it happens twice we must sit up and look
carefully. However, if it happens three times the planets are trying hard to get a message across.
One
interpretation for Mars-Saturn-Neptune is as follows. If Saturn is looked upon
as responsibility to fulfil one’s obligations or contracts and Neptune as weakness or escapism, then Mars can be anger
and desire to take action if the contract is not fulfilled.
