(CNN) Pope Francis cut his trip to Tacloban short
Saturday as an approaching typhoon with blistering winds threatened the city in
the Philippines
To a
symbolist a synchronistic event like this may not possess any clear cut single
meaning but instead connect to a larger gestalt of symbolic patterns unfolding
in the present. We hope to discover those patterns in this post.
Let us start with the chart for the solar eclipse of April 29, 2014 drawn for Tacloban. Here
the eclipse conjunct Mercury is on the cusp of the 9th house. (If we
were using the Whole Sign Houses system it would of course be firmly in the 9th
). The 9th house is linked with our higher worldview but for most it
is simply the established religion. Mercury
governs the wind and corresponds to high pressure of fair weather. Gentle
breezes to hurricane-force winds can be found under Mercury's domain [1]. Here
Mercury is conjunct the eclipse and the asteroid Toro for which one keyphrase
is “strong” so we can be looking at strong (Toro) winds (Mercury). Adding to
this picture are the stars of Corvus conjunct Mars [11li] which throws a
quincunx aspect to Mercury and the eclipse. Diana Rosenberg writes “The stars
of Corvus formed an archaic Euphratean lunar mansion whose patron god was
Im-dugud-khu, “The Great Storm Bird” or the “Storm Bird of the Evil Wind”.
Mars is
part of a Grand Cross that involves Jupiter (religion) and Uranus-Pluto (the
need to end an old order). So by sending those blistering winds just as the
Pope conducted the Mass was the “storm god” implying that narrowly understood established
religions had no place in the new order
unfolding under the current Uranus-Pluto square.
In general,
the revolutionary uprising and spontaneous force of Uranus is synthesizing with
Pluto's intensified dismantling and opening force in the very depths of
consciousness causing a profound and radical transformation in collective
consciousness. Pluto becomes an opener and revealer of a greater truth in sidereal Sagittarius. It
opens the way for this greater truth to emerge by dismantling the false beliefs
and structures of all established
religions [2].
If we now
progress the eclipse chart to Jan.17, the date of the event, we find that
eclipse reaches the MC triggering the event. Also notice that the eclipse is
opposite the TNP Poseidon [3] and square the asteroid Lilith [4].
LILITH: Triangulation; selection & rejection;
decisions (regarding angle or planets in aspect).
POSEIDON: religion; intellectual or spiritual
influences.
Lilith-Poseidon:
Religion may have become the jealous mistress; perhaps there is a need to reject established ideas, metaphysics or religion.
A final confirmation
comes from the star cluster of Praesepe on the progressed Ascendant [8le].
Praesepe embodies the essence of the Scarab /
Cancer theme: emergence out of darkness, dogma, and delusion, out of the
antiquated entrapments we had been living in, and our transmutation from
darkness into light [5].
