The Cat that Killed the Snake that Saved the Snake's Life

The Cat and the Snake

Young or old, everybody loves a mystery – and everybody enjoys solving one.. Just this week I had a gentleman contact me from the beautiful green island of Corfu with a story involving a mystery that had caused him a great amount of bewilderment: “The Cat that Killed the Snake that Saved the Snakes Life”. To his wife’s horror, the man concerned had found a young four-lined snake at their home. He was an avid photographer and so after taking several shots he rushed to get a better lens for his camera. Whilst doing so, their cat promptly pounced on, and, after some tussling, killed the snake stone dead. Jan9; http://frogblogmanchester.com/2015/01/09/solving-a-mystery/

To understand this news we will start with the chart of the April 29, 2014 solar eclipse at Corfu, Greece. Notice that a powerful Grand Cross  is anchored to the meridian axis through hard aspects. On the IC is Alphard, alpha Hydra, the Water Snake along with stars of Felis the Cat. The image above shows the close proximity of the Cat and the Snake (upper left of image). On the Descendant are stars of the Serpent and the magician/ shaman Ophiuchus [1].

Ophiuchus, or Serpentarius, the Serpent-holder, the Serpent Bearer, the Serpent Wrestler, or the Snake Charmer, is depicted holding a snake, the snake is represented by the constellation Serpens. Ophiuchus is identified with Aesculapius (Asklepios, Asclepius), an ancient physician who grew so skilled in the craft of healing that he was able to restore the dead to life. [1]

Progressing the chart to Jan.9, the date of the news, aligns the Grand Cross with the meridian axis. Among other things Uranus-Pluto is linked to accidents including animal attacks. However,  in this case, exalted Jupiter in Cancer provides a fortunate outcome.

Jonah regurgitated by the Whale

In addition, on the progressed Ascendant [21ar] is the star Baten Kaitos [2], zeta Ceti – in the Sea-Monster’s belly!  Diana Rosenberg links this star with “shipwrecks (possibly with rescue)”. Does this ring a bell? Readers will be familiar with the story of Jonah returning from the belly of the whale.
