Ukranian peace deal at Last Quarter Moon

Marathon talks have secured a ceasefire in Ukraine's war with pro-Russian separatists, leaders said today after negotiations through the night to halt the spiralling bloodshed. Vladimir Putin emerged from the summit with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and the French and German leaders, saying they had reached agreement on the 'main' points. The Russian President said a ceasefire would take effect on Sunday and that heavy weapons would be withdrawn from frontlines of the conflict, which has already killed at least 5,300 people. The chart for the last quarter Moon of February 12  at Minsk is shown here. Notice that it is very significantly placed on the MC. The Moon conjoins the stars Beta Centauri and Alpha Lupus. In the mythical image above, the Centaur is slaying the wild beast ( Lupus) with conscious deliberation in preparation for a ceremony upon Ara, the sacrificial altar (extreme right of image). The centaurs are often depicted fighting each other so that this image articulates the conscious decision and demonstrable action to sacrifice the lower-order bestial  self.

The Moon phase has the powerful Uranus-Pluto-Zeus T-square straddling the horizon. Among other things this combination stands for upheaval (Uranus-Pluto) created because of military action (Zeus).

Anchored to the T-square and the Moon through hard aspects are the TNPs Kronos-Hades amidst stars of the Gemini Twins and Columba, the dove. Among other things the constellation of the Twins represents people or nations whose destinies are inseparably linked together  as is the case in Ukraine. The Twins are often also depicted fighting each other (note the bow and arrow in Castor’s hand and the club in Pollux’s hand). Yet Columba, the Dove, stands for peace. So we can see that this mythical image combines well with the last quarter Moon’s message asking for the participants to free themselves from the lower order bestial self.
