Eclipse highlights the plight of victims of US wars

April 08, 2015 "ICH" - "MEE" - Last month, the Washington DC-based Physicians for Social Responsibility (PRS) released a landmark study concluding that the death toll from 10 years of the “War on Terror” since the 9/11 attacks is at least 1.3 million, and could be as high as 2 million. The 97-page report by the Nobel Peace Prize-winning doctors’ group is the first to tally up the total number of civilian casualties from US-led counter-terrorism interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The PSR report is authored by an interdisciplinary team of leading public health experts, including Dr. Robert Gould, director of health professional outreach and education at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, and Professor Tim Takaro of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article41491.htm

The horoscope for the 9/11 attack is  ideally suited for understanding this development. An analysis of this chart was presented in an earlier post [1] wherein we saw that the stars of Corvus , the lying crow, occupied the Ascendant. Notice that the lunar eclipse of April 4, 2015 has fallen exactly on the horizon axis of the 9/11 chart thereby bringing to life issues connected with the chart. Since the Uranus-Pluto square is on the angles we have individuals or a group of individuals (Uranus in Aries) striving to expose the cover up of lies by governments and those in power (Pluto in Capricorn).

Next we look at the chart for the total solar eclipse of March 20 drawn for Washington, DC from where the report was published.  The eclipse took place at 29 Pisces, the last degree of the zodiac. About this degree, Diana Rosenberg writes, “as if anticipating  the new beginnings of Aries in the next degree there are breakthroughs…as well as (recognition ?) of sorrows and disasters that lead to reforms and new beginnings”.  But perhaps more relevant is the Saturn-Neptune square that the eclipse places on the meridian.

Saturn [4sa] is conjunct stars of Wild Beast Lupus and Scorpius together with the writhing Serpent in the left hand of the physician Ophiuchus. Wild Beast Lupus is to be understood in the context of the Centaur shown carrying a spear that impales the  beast  – the wolf. The wolf a symbol of fierceness, evil, and devouring (thus gluttony) was a despoiler of flocks, rapacious, cruel, crafty and bloodthirsty. It  has long been a symbol of evil. In Christian art, animals impaled on lances often allude to vices that must be overcome. The physician or healer Ophiuchus  represents one who struggles with the evil in this area symbolically depicted by the Serpent. The placement of Saturn in the mundane tenth house is referring to the US Government. Has the US in Iraq and Afghanistan  behaved in a way that can be represented by the Wild Beast? Indeed it has.

If a square represents a conflict that could lead to a higher consciousness, the next question to address is what does Neptune [8pi] represent in this drama.  About this area, Diana Rosenberg writes:

The ancient figure of Gula, “the Great Doctoress” is superimposed on stars of Aquarius, her face, forehead and left hand come out here in mouth of the Urn and its outflowing waters bringing forth physician and healers. These souls must make a great choice: whether to remain aloof to the anguish of others, or to learn sensitivity and compassion through their own painful experiences, becoming “wounded healers” who develop an impulse to help, teach, save and restore.

In conclusion, we may say that the upper or waning square of Saturn-Neptune  often referred to as a crisis of consciousness not only brings out the deeper issue connected with the publishing of the report but that this could not have been understood without reference to the stars.
