Fire on oil rig in Gulf of Mexico

A fire broke out on an oil platform belonging to Mexico’s state Pemex petroleum giant in the Gulf of Mexico, leading to the evacuation of about 300 workers and leaving at least 45 injured. Pemex said on Twitter that the fire on the Abkatun Permanente platform in the oil-rich Campeche Bay broke out overnight and eight firefighting boats were tackling the blaze. The platform forms part of the Abkatun-Pol-Chuc offshore complex.  The city of Ciudad del Carmen is the closest to the platform so we will use its location for mundane maps. Shown here is the chart for the April 29, 2014 solar eclipse. It is placed on the 4th house cusp in aspect to Mars and Zeus (both associated with fires) are part of a Grand Cross.  The fourth house rules “supplies that feed the nation from beneath the earth” [1]. This would, therefore, include oil rigs. The eclipse [9ta] is conjunct stars of the Sea Monster Cetus and those of Fornax, the Furnace. This is an area that Diana Rosenberg links to accidents and fires.
Progressing the eclipse chart to April 1, brings the Grand Cross to an alignment with the meridian triggering the accident.

As we have seen in the past, invariably there are supporting transits that resonate with the “hour” hand such as the eclipse chart in the present case. Today, the Sun approaching its conjunction to Uranus receives a sharp quincunx aspect from the Moon activating it prematurely. A chart drawn for the quincunx brings the Sun-Uranus-Pluto combination to the horizon axis signalling that the activation is important for the place. Among other things Uranus-Pluto is associated with accidents.
