The first man set to undergo a head transplant has
been revealed, saying that he finds the controversial surgery “very scary, but
also very interesting”. Valery Spiridinov is set to be the first person to
undergo the operation. It will be carried out by controversial Italian doctor
Sergio Canavero, whose optimistic plans have mostly been met with scepticism. But
Spiridonov — who has the rare genetic Werdnig-Hoffman disease, which gradually
wastes away muscles — says that he is willing to undergo the risky procedure to
give himself a chance at living in a healthy body. “Am I afraid? Yes, of course
I am. But it is not just very scary, but also very interesting,” Spiridonov,
speaking from his house in the Russian town of Vladimir about 120 miles from
Moscow, told MailOnline. April 8; http://ind.pn/1NTBqH4
The chart for
the lunar eclipse of April 4 at Vladimir is shown here. Uranus, the ruler of
the sixth house connected with illness and health related issues, is placed
with the Sun in the eighth house. Traditional astrology relates the eighth house
to crisis and the need to face fears. It is a house of personal vulnerability,
albeit perhaps a necessary vulnerability from which we may eventually gain. Surgeries that may result in death are also
included in the eighth house since they offer the possibility of a new life after
a medical crisis.
The eclipse
and the Nodal axis form hard aspects with the meridian. On the MC [26ta] is the star Algol, beta
Perseus in the severed head of the
Gorgon Medusa. Sun [14ar] and Uranus[16ar] are conjunct the star Alpheratz,
alpha Andromeda also in the head of the chained woman. The symbolic severed head of Medusa applied in a positive
sense here refers to the head replacement surgery while the Uranus-Pluto square
is suggesting a possible scientific or technological breakthroughs. But nothing
is guaranteed, the same combination can lead to a breakdown if we are
overreaching ourselves.
